Hi, I'm Katie, as you know their magazine, and this is my review of the Arc'teryx women Sentinel jacket, so for the fit of this jacket it does fit a little bit thick. Usually I wear a medium and this jacket is a small when I first put it on. I was a little bit concerned that it might be too small. I felt some tension in my shoulders and around my chest, but after spending the last month month and a half skiing in this jacket on resort skiing and backcountry skiing and playing with the functionality of all my different layering systems, I've come to realize that a small For me, at five 540 pounds is the perfect size

 This jacket meets all my criteria, its waterproof windproof, it's nice and long. It'S got an awesome hood, it's got pit beds, lots of pocket space and it just fits so well. This jacket is super playful super functional and I can't wait to rip it up next season. Arc'teryx Sentinel Jacket Tested & Reviewed

Don’t like the new pocket design where it pouches out either, part of the beauty of these pants was that sleek silhouette. Don’t mind the one less pocket as always used to forget that the top pocket was there to be honest. 

For me the old model is definitely superior and have bought a pair I luckily found on sale in my size and a colour I like. Hoping in a couple of years when it’s time for my next set that the design will be back to something that I like.

Tried on the new model and a same labelled size previous model at the same time- new one is definitely a bit bigger size wise which for me meant it looked a bit too baggy and didn’t have its sleek style any more. The old model (large) fit me perfectly with the 3/4 pant insulation underneath. New model belt has elastic in the middle of it which means it doesn’t hold properly anymore so you’ll likely need to buy a separate belt to cinch them in properly. At least it comes with belt loops so you can do this unlike the insulated Arc’teryx pants I have where no matter what I do I can’t get them to stay up

Had the older version Sentinel pants bought in the 2017/2018 season and loved the style and fit of them. Plus the humongous pockets that hid their true size by the way they pouched inwards into the natural tapering of your leg rather than outwards like traditional cargo pockets was amazing. Loved the sleek silhouette of those pants.

 And i love that the adam lt hoodie is super super light and insulated. So it's so warm as well, and the gore-tex is so amazing. Today, as we are in the ring, love the sentinel ar it has the armpit, quick zippers for ventilation and the little pocket here where i can put my cycles amazing feature on the sentinel ar is it has the powder belt and it attaches to your pants on Both sides, the sentinel ar, is a gore-tex big, mountain, ski and snowboard jacket with a warm flannel liner. I love the big helmet compatible storm hood just gives you full coverage and the relax city fit makes it so good for layering

 The lt hoodie is also great on its own for hiking, skiing, snowboarding and commuting around the city. The core lot compact insulation retains warmth, even when it's wet and the water resistant, tayono 20 phase fabric is soft, breathable and durable out here on cypress mountain and i'm wearing my arc, taric sentinel ar and the atom lt. And i love that the adam lt hoodie is super super light and insulated. So it's so warm as well, and the gore-tex is so amazing

  The fabric is super thin over that pocket, so I can see why it ripped.  Now I either have to hassle with a return or slap some duct tape on them, but this are $600 pants!

I love the look of these pants and that they have a belt to keep them from popping open when I crunch my stomach. Extremely lightweight and just generously cut enough so I can put whatever layer I want underneath.  My only criticism is that the first morning, I wore them I looked down and there was a little slit cut in the thigh pocket.  I swear I didn't do anything to them, but I couldn't prove they came that way

I have had the Patagonia PowSlayer, Patagonia Powder Bowl, and some others and this is by far the best fit. (5-10, 170).

Looking for a new shell jacket - something nice, primarily for active resort/sidecountry use, in Europe. 

What are people recommending these days, and what should I avoid? 

I'm 5ft 8, 157lbs (71kg) - and sometimes find myself in-between sizes with US/American brands (Arcteryx) where I'm a solid "Smedium" in some of their lines. 

In terms of a starting point, I've looked at the Mammut Stoney online and it seems to fit the bill, but open to any options really.

Looking for ski shell recommendations

 Pocket to put your goggles or gloves if they're wet and help dry them out. You could probably even put your skins in there if you're a backcountry skier or split boarder. Then you get one zippered pocket right here to put your valuables. Oh and that zippered pocket there is also a leash for your keys so you don't get lost

 And then you have your little stash pocket here for your chapstick or season pass or what have you. And there are two more pockets inside and I'll show you in a second. Of noting the hand pockets are lower because it's a resort resort-based jacket. So if you're wearing a backpack, backpack straps, the hip strap would absolutely hit here

 It's about 150 denier I believe. It's very thick material. It has a Gore-Tex two-layer waterproof membrane built into it. So this is not a three-layer so this would be good for resort riding or just durable construction

 So this is going to be a workhorse jacket and as I mentioned it is helmet compatible and it's adjustable. The fit is spot on. I've got a 36-37 inch length on dress shirts. It fits great so of course you have adjustable cuffs

 Hey everybody, Sean Sewell here. This is the Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket. This is

 really amazing jacket for resort riding, snowstorms like we have right now, and just

 all-around use. This is new this year and it features something I think is very impressive,

 recycled Gore-Tex. This is a two-layer Gore-Tex membrane that's completely recycled. So that's

 a huge benefit in the market for ski and snowboard and outdoor wear to get Gore-Tex to recycle

 Gore-Tex membranes and make it into a new product like this. So that as I think is the biggest

 takeaway of how awesome Patagonia can be with creating new garments and it benefits you the

 consumer in a lot of ways. So what features make this jacket so great? It's burly, it's

 bomber. It's about 150 denier I believe. It's very thick material. It has a Gore-Tex two-layer

 waterproof membrane built into it. So this is not a three-layer so this would be good for resort

 riding or just durable construction. It's going to be heavier like 30 ounce plus, more durable.
