I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

The Arc'teryx Aerios FL is an incredibly lightweight and performance-oriented hiking shoe in a clean and minimalist style. Its eye-catching appeal owes to using welds instead of stitches and mono-colored materials, from the uppers to the laces to the rubber toe caps. More important than form, we are impressed by its functionality on the trail in various types of terrain. The sticky rubber soles provide excellent traction on everything from loose, unconsolidated rubble to wet boulders, and the synthetic uppers held up well against lava rock and prickly desert shrubs. After many miles of hiking, the shoes are dusty but largely unscathed from our adventures. 
While we are impressed by the support offered of the compressed EVA midsoles, we do not consider them supportive enough for days when a heavy pack is required. We also wouldn't choose this shoe for multi-day trips or hikes on extreme terrain because the uppers are too lightweight. But when your itinerary is short and fast, or for any day that you want to be light on your feet, the Aerios may well be the perfect choice.

The Arc'teryx Aerios FL GTX is one of the lightest hiking-specific shoes we have ever reviewed. They are virtually unnoticeable on foot, which was a blessing as we embarked on a 19-mile hike to test these shoes. Surprisingly nimble, the featherweight shoes also give decent support and traction, not to mention being exceptionally waterproof and breathable. Our feet were hardly sweaty even after hiking in dry and dusty conditions.
The Aerios are ridiculously light, but they lose some long-term durability to achieve this weight. We put them to the test and hiked about 300 miles in them before they became too soft to be useful for trail hiking anymore. The outer of the shoe still looked surprisingly good, but the structure of the midsole and the heel cup had broken down enough that they were not as supportive as they once were. This still seems like a reasonable lifespan for such a niche hiking shoe, and we look forward to buying our next pair to test.

 Was extremely impressed with how lightweight these are as well.  Overall, one of the best shoes I've owned.

These are one of the most instantly comfortable shoes I've ever owned.  They also do an amazing job of keeping my feet dry.  Living in the pnw comes with lots of rainy days and I've been wearing these every day.  Day two of owning we did a 7+ miles hike in rain and my feet remained dry and comfortable

Extremely comfortable, lightweight and dry.

 Overall, the base is wide enough that when you are hiking on rocky terrain, you've got enough of a base here to keep your foot from moving around too much I'd say. The overall fit is true to size, I'm an 8 and a half. This is an 8 and a half, and my foot felt quite comfortable in it. If anything, it might be a little narrow for some people, but I love the way the D Galations in here and you can tighten and make sure that everything fits snugly around your plant

 I don’t have high hopes for them in the rain unless I spray them with waterproofing spray. I have goretex sneakers from another brand (not hiking ones) and I think I will stick to them on wetter days, as they have been performing great even on super rainy days in New York. 

 Sadly these are not very waterproof. I just put them on to walk from a guest house to the main house through some (mowed, so not too tall) grass covered in morning dew and the tops of the shoes got wet. Price does not match performance

 So if they get wet that the face fabric gets soaked, so once I'm done that they're gon na be ready to go back out, I will still wear those ones for quite some time because they're still comfortable but, like I mentioned those ones, are gon na. Be my new long hiking shoes I just started hiking the Vancouver Island Trail and I'm hoping to be using those ones are often on that trail. So I'm gon na start breaking those up, so I can wear them for like longer hikes. But if I have a long hike coming up, I still feel II feel pretty comfortable using those ones at this point in time

 Uh snowshoeing, strapping the snowshoe on these shoes and, after my whole journey, like the the whole face fabric, was obviously soaked. But once again, like the only deafness on my feet, was my perspiration not being able to escape the chute due to the fact that the face fabric was so so first. A few features that I like on the shoes is the fact that they have the nose here. So when you're going up like a very steep incline, like your feets, always see, the toes are gon na move this way

 Are the vibram mega grip the only time those souls actually slipped on me were on the wet log? Now, if you're familiar with the Pacific Northwest, the logs were pretty big here, so you kind of feel comfortable, but the log was wet. There was no bark on it and at some point one of my foot slipped and that's the only slippage I can attribute to those shoes but then again walking with a different type of shoe on the same log. I would be like both sides. So in that respect, did they perform flawlessly

 So I'm gon na start breaking those up, so I can wear them for like longer hikes. But if I have a long hike coming up, I still feel II feel pretty comfortable using those ones at this point in time. Arc’teryx Aerios GTX fl Review

5 in women's sizes, but felt that these run a little big. I would probably wear a 7 in these and it would solve most of the problems I have with the fit. 

Overall, I think I would be happier with a half size smaller; that would help a lot with the blisters. Other than the size, I thought they were comfortable, the color looks nice, they are exactly what I envisioned when I said I wanted lower cut hiking boots!

I've been wearing these pretty consistently the past week and a half, and I think these would be a slam dunk if I had the perfect size. I usually am a 7.5 in women's sizes, but felt that these run a little big. I would probably wear a 7 in these and it would solve most of the problems I have with the fit

Well Made, But Size Down.

I am 5' 5", 140 pounds, with slender feet and advanced arthritis in my big toe, which means a stiff sole like offered with this shoe is a must. I was excited to try this shoe for a few reasons! First, they felt great as soon as I put them on. They are fairly light for how rugged they are, the slim design is attractive and they felt like they fit instantly. 

   Fit and design - one huge flaw for me, and why I will not be continuing to use these - is the lack of a 2nd eyelet at the top of the lacing. This makes it impossible to tighten down for any heel lift. As someone with slender feet, these shoes did not hold up backpacking (carried about 25#) as my heel kept moving around inside the shoe and I got a terrible blister on the inside heel. This is not a location I typically get blisters which helps me know it's the shoe

 I needed some aspect of the shoe to hold my heel in there and these did not. Additionally, I wish they had included a heel loop as most active shoes do these days, both for ease of putting them on and for being able to hook to the outside of a pack. However, the overall design of this shoe seems really good! Maybe your foot is shaped differently and these would work for you.

 While these shoes look great, these are rebranded Merrells, which always run narrow and never seem to fit my feet well. The insoles are also hard with little padding, although you can replace these. I had worn them on a few hikes, but with Eddie Bauer's guarantee policy I was able to return them for a refund. Not saying these won't work for someone else, but the didn't work for me
