They are virtually unnoticeable on foot, which was a blessing as we embarked on a 19-mile hike to test these shoes. Surprisingly nimble, the featherweight shoes also give decent support and traction, not to mention being exceptionally waterproof and breathable. Our feet were hardly sweaty even after hiking in dry and dusty conditions.

 Water proof and really strong the weather through almost any terrain. So good I bought a backup second pair for when these someday wear out from the inside.

 Overall, the base is wide enough that when you are hiking on rocky terrain, you've got enough of a base here to keep your foot from moving around too much I'd say. The overall fit is true to size, I'm an 8 and a half. This is an 8 and a half, and my foot felt quite comfortable in it. If anything, it might be a little narrow for some people, but I love the way the D Galations in here and you can tighten and make sure that everything fits snugly around your plant

  I like it because it's waterproof but not warm, lightweight, minimal design, and good flat support (but this is telative to what you need).

Very soft uh doesn't have much cushioning either, but the huge benefit of the ortholite - and i have tested them many times already in different boots - is that they have that kind of moisture, wickering technology, moisture absorption. Basically, that does not allow the bacteria to spread um

 I love mid-sized boots that are waterproof that are lightweight that have a very versatile outsole, and this is it right here they offer decent amount of protection. I mean you can walk if you are more or less experienced. You know hiker, you can walk for miles and not feel anything because they are comfortable and they are lightweight and you're not going to struggle that much with the traction in this at all. Considering the versatility um of the outsole, so this is to me really really good choice

 Outsoles and people do like it. It lasts the longest, it's good quality, rubber, so great stuff, okay, so uh done with that. Let'S move on to the criteria. Number five really quickly: the temperature uh in the hot temperature they're great, very nice, very breathable, thanks to the gore-tex waterproofing, usually waterproof boots

 They run a little bit hotter, not the case here, because it's gore-tex fancy. Yes, now, whenever it comes to cold temperatures, i'm really not going to talk about that too much. These are not winter boots. They don't have any kind of insulation

Good style, lightweight, too narrow/constricted

Purchased as a warranty for shoes that were falling apart. These fit well and have kept my feet dry in a moderate rain. So far, so good!

Awesome fit

I got these shoes in a US size 13 in Fall 2019 ahead of a few hikes in the 15-20km range, but I'm pretty disappointed — one issue is likely a unit defect, while the other is a sizing issue.

 So if they get wet that the face fabric gets soaked, so once I'm done that they're gon na be ready to go back out, I will still wear those ones for quite some time because they're still comfortable but, like I mentioned those ones, are gon na. Be my new long hiking shoes I just started hiking the Vancouver Island Trail and I'm hoping to be using those ones are often on that trail. So I'm gon na start breaking those up, so I can wear them for like longer hikes. But if I have a long hike coming up, I still feel II feel pretty comfortable using those ones at this point in time

 Uh snowshoeing, strapping the snowshoe on these shoes and, after my whole journey, like the the whole face fabric, was obviously soaked. But once again, like the only deafness on my feet, was my perspiration not being able to escape the chute due to the fact that the face fabric was so so first. A few features that I like on the shoes is the fact that they have the nose here. So when you're going up like a very steep incline, like your feets, always see, the toes are gon na move this way

 Are the vibram mega grip the only time those souls actually slipped on me were on the wet log? Now, if you're familiar with the Pacific Northwest, the logs were pretty big here, so you kind of feel comfortable, but the log was wet. There was no bark on it and at some point one of my foot slipped and that's the only slippage I can attribute to those shoes but then again walking with a different type of shoe on the same log. I would be like both sides. So in that respect, did they perform flawlessly

 So I'm gon na start breaking those up, so I can wear them for like longer hikes. But if I have a long hike coming up, I still feel II feel pretty comfortable using those ones at this point in time. The newest iteration in the series, the Oboz Sawtooth X Low Waterproof remains just as incredibly supportive and comfortable as its celebrated predecessor, especially on lengthy hikes with a pack. The anniversary X edition incorporates a few enhancements to make this the most capable version yet: a new outsole boasts superior slip-resistance and enhanced durability and strength, and new Adaptive Cushioning Technology has been incorporated into the midsole to improve efficiency and produce a softer heel area. What does that mean to you? An even cushier ride and a grippier base on a shoe that already scored pretty highly on both counts. The entire footbed is notably plush, and the proprietary insoles offer excellent structure and support. Chunky, tiered lugs now grab loose surfaces and slick rocks even more easily, and a roomy toe box reduces pressure and friction across the forefoot. This shoe also does a great job holding the heel in place to minimize lifting and rubbing. Combined with thick, flat laces and an extra runner's loop means plenty of adjustability and support to achieve a perfect fit.
The one thing we didn't love about the Sawtooth X Low Waterproof is its weight. It is among the heaviest shoes in our review. But when we take into account the wealth of features, including a BDry membrane that successfully kept our feet dry both on trail and under controlled testing, it seems a worthy tradeoff. The combination of impressive cushioning, protection, support, and durability kept the Sawtooth X WP high on our list of top choices, particularly for multi-day treks where comfort is of the essence.

Sturdy hiking shoe. Didn't seem to have as much flex as the Vasque Breeze and Inhaler hiking boots I've been wearing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing depending on how and where you hike. Did seem to have ample support. However, the reason I bought these was because reviews said these were good for wide feet and narrow heels

Granted, I tried these on right after I completed a long hike, and my feet were a bit swollen, but that should have been the perfect time to see how they fit

A well supporting shoe for hiking and walking

 I like the look and haven’t had any blisters. They are sturdy. My only small complaint would be like so many hiking boots, they are a little heavy. But that truly is a minor issue

I have worn them for the last week while walking the dogs (about 2 miles) to break them in. They fit well, don’t move around and are comfortable. I ordered a 7.5 as I expect to have slightly thicker socks on at times

 Good grips on the bottom. I ordered an 8w. I have skinny feet but needed room for my orthotics. The orthotics fit fine in the shoe but are verry tight through the top above arch even though I have loosened them as much as I can without running out of laces to tie

 Outside in snowy and icy Indiana can be treacherous to maneuver and I purchased these shoes for that reason. Like others have mentioned, there is no break-in period, your feet are completely dry, the tread is great on snow and ice and they are incredibly comfortable. I know I can wear these if I ever go hiking, but I can also wear these to work. They are pricey, but you really do get what you pay for
