The Aerios are ridiculously light, but they lose some long-term durability to achieve this weight. We put them to the test and hiked about 300 miles in them before they became too soft to be useful for trail hiking anymore. The outer of the shoe still looked surprisingly good, but the structure of the midsole and the heel cup had broken down enough that they were not as supportive as they once were. This still seems like a reasonable lifespan for such a niche hiking shoe, and we look forward to buying our next pair to test

Water proof and really strong the weather through almost any terrain. So good I bought a backup second pair for when these someday wear out from the inside.

Outside in snowy and icy Indiana can be treacherous to maneuver and I purchased these shoes for that reason. Like others have mentioned, there is no break-in period, your feet are completely dry, the tread is great on snow and ice and they are incredibly comfortable. I know I can wear these if I ever go hiking, but I can also wear these to work. They are pricey, but you really do get what you pay for

I like it because it's waterproof but not warm, lightweight, minimal design, and good flat support (but this is telative to what you need).

They have a clean look similar to styles I have enjoyed for the past twenty years. Even though they are wide they do not appear especially chunky in fact they look similar in width from above to other similar not wide hiking shoes, but these have more room inside.

Loved the light-weight. Liked the overall style. Unfortunately, between the lack of expansion room of the tongue and the narrower main foot area, the right 'length' of shoe was just too restrictive to be comfortable - especially if more sitting/lounging and not actively up and about. I got these shoes in a US size 13 in Fall 2019 ahead of a few hikes in the 15-20km range, but I'm pretty disappointed — one issue is likely a unit defect, while the other is a sizing issue.

I didn't find that to be the case. Granted, I tried these on right after I completed a long hike, and my feet were a bit swollen, but that should have been the perfect time to see how they fit. Great tread, lots of support inside, very sturdy well made shoes - use them for everything not just hiking - they are my work out shoes and seem to be great - I switched from Salomon shoes to these.. a little pricey but they should last a long time.
