The Arbor Westmark Camber Snowboard is Arbor's freestyle board, and it's ideal for people that want to do tricks on a wooden plank throughout the park. This board is also good for intermediates who want an all-mountain board but want to spend more time in the park. The Westmark also comes in a rocker shape, but this camber board will be better for higher speeds and holding an edge than its rocker counterpart.
Key Features:
- Blunted Tips – The blunted tips of the board reduce swing weight, so the board is slightly easier to turn while still providing enough area for floating in snow. Additionally, the blunted tips make butters and other ground tricks much easier.
- Grip Tech – Many park runs are partially covered in ice later in the day. The Westmark has four extra contact points on the edge of the board. These cut into the snow and ice like a serrated knife, which helps riders hold an edge more easily.
- Full Twin – This board is a true twin, so riding switch will feel the same as riding regular.
- Sintered Base – The sintered base helps the bottom slide freely over the snow, making this board faster.
- Environmentally-Friendly – Back when Arbor got its start in the 90s, it was just as concerned with protecting forests as it was with making boards. Arbor's main focus has been the reforestation of Hawaiian Koa forests because that's where native Hawaiians got their wood for surf boards. Plantations destroyed much of the forest, but Arbor has planted 350,000 Koa trees and reforested 800 acres of woodlands with native plants since 1995. For each board they make, they plant more than one Koa tree.

 Yo what up guys TJ here out snowboarding at Woodward Copper out at their summer camp for week 7 and today I'm checking out the Arbor Westmark Camber the Frank April edition. Alright guys so the Westmark Camber is a true twin freestyle leaning snowboard although it could be pretty solid for like all-mountain freestyle as well. It's a positive camber snowboard from contact point to contact point for the entire length of the snowboard and it also runs a mid flex I'd say right around a 5 out of 10 pretty solid middle-of-the-road flex on this guy. The Westmark Camber is a really versatile snowboard and there's a few pieces of tech that Arbor threw in this guy that I really like a lot so on all their camber boards they run the camber system is what they call it so full camber and right underneath the contact points so the widest point in the snowboard on the nose and the tail they have what they call uprise fenders so the base and the edge is actually lifted up just a little bit helping to make it a little more catch-free even though you're gonna have that really powerful precise feeling that camber offers

 of the snowboard and it also runs a mid flex I'd say right around a 5 out of 10 pretty

 The Westmark Camber is a really versatile snowboard and there's a few pieces of tech

 The Frank April edition actually has one extra piece of tech it's really the only difference

 between the Frank April and the regular Westmark camber and that's going to be the tips of

 the snowboard they're actually kind of like rounded up so if you're trying to do a pole

 jam or like jam up a wall ride or something like that just kind of pushing your nose into

 a feature it's going to be way more catch-free and actually allow you to do that without

 And the last piece of tech I want to talk about for the Westmark is the Grip Tech Side

 Cut so basically they just added a couple of additional contact points placed right

 under your feet helping to isolate pressure and really bite down on hard snow and on ice

 to help give you more grip and make sure you're not slipping out in those situations.

 Like I said this is a pretty freestyle friendly snowboard it's going to be fun all over the

 park whether you're hitting rails or hitting jumps and it's going to do well on the larger

 side of the spectrum as well if you're gapping onto features hitting those larger gaps or

 getting into those higher impact scenarios the Westmark is going to stand up to that

 I was actually able to follow Frank April through the park over some jumps today so

 I think some of those shots actually came up pretty well tons of stability on this guy.

 I'd say as far as rider and mine goes this is a solid snowboard for someone who's spending

 at least 50% of the time on this snowboard in the park maybe more but this is still going

 to be a fun snowboard for doing things outside of the park that stability that you get from

 that positive camber profile that mid flex and also that real wood top sheet are really

 going to come in handy in those higher impact scenarios and then you also have that grip

 tech side cut so if you are on ice or on more variable terrain you're not going to be struggling

 So if that sounds like you check out the Arbor Westmark camber.

 Sure. Especially half hyper jumps, you want that camber because you need to dig on that edge. Yeah. And it's like they're both pretty catch free

 You know, nobody's perfect and, you know, it's like somebody said to me what, like, you know, I was talking about shock absorption of a binding and they said, well, why would you want to land flat? Nobody fucking wants to land flat, but sometimes you do. I just did. Every, like, no matter how good of a rider you are, you're going to land flat sometimes. So like on the rocker, if you're going to land off, you're just not going to have that tail to help you out of it

 And the Westmark just handled it like an all-mountain freestyle board. So it's really like, what would I call this? I call this a freestyle board. But I would say it's a freestyle board that could double as an all-mountain rider, because it's got a pretty stiff flex, and it's not very chattery. It's not chattery

 Personally, I own a Harbor Westmark reverse camber and I rode it all the time in powder. Powder, it's excellent. But like you said here- You rode the rocker, right? I went with rocker. Yeah

Arbor Westmark Camber Review

 We're looking at the Arbor Westmark system camber, which is basically a camber board,

 except for you have just a little lift in the sides there.

 I don't know if you can see this kind of like, you know, this bend up, which is cool in some

 ways, and cool in most ways, because you've got a camber profile.

 It's kind of a mellow camber, a little blunted tip and tail, yet it doesn't catch like camber.

 Then you also got this big blunted nose.

 So it's better than a camber, most camber boards of this size that are twins in powder.

 However, if you're going to ride one board all the time, it might be the Westmark rocker

 because it's going to be better in powder.

 But if you like to ollie, rail, carve, and hit the pipe or butter, this isn't the best
