If we could afford more than one watch, this would surely be on our list, but it's not our first choice for certain kinds of outings. Apple Watch Ultra Review: Worth It Or Nah?

 It is sporty, it looks industrial, I do love that flat top display, and the crown guard also looks industrial and it really minimized how much false Siri activations I got when I'm having my hands on the ground pushing against something. I don't really like the color of the action button, but it is very useful to have. I also really like how loud and clear the speakers are. They are really nice for calls, both for me to hear whoever I'm talking to, as well as for them to hear me with those microphones

 The same thing goes with the size. Now it's not too big for me and I got used to it, but for many other people it just is and some people have returned it because of that. And honestly, if Apple could just give us better battery life in a normal Apple watch which has a lower price point, that would be amazing even if they had to cut out some of the features to put in better battery life. Now I know they talked about adding a low power mode later, but so many things get shut off just take a look at this list including getting text until you actually press and turn on the watch to get it to connect

 Now I really wish that this watch looked a little less sporty like the leaks we had for it and that Apple gave it multiple color choices. Now sure keep the plain titanium because it's unpainted, it's the most durable, but if Apple gave us some options that would be really nice. The same thing goes with the size. Apple Watch Ultra Honest Review - Why I wish I could RETURN it..

 The weight of this watch is straight up QUALITY. This watch makes me feel like I’m ready to take down a tree with an axe… BARE FOOTED. It’s a mean watch for sure. • One person said the screen is too bright — uhhhh, adjust the brightness? What I didn’t know 😛

 I weigh about 145 lbs with a 6.5 inch wrist and have until now always worn the smaller of the Apple Watches on offer, most recently the Apple Watch Series 6 40mm with a S/M sport band. I am at the stage in my life where it’s getting harder to read text on a small screen, so this year I decided to upgrade to a larger Apple Watch. It didn’t make sense to me anymore to have a great watch capable of providing all kinds of useful information only to struggle with the smaller screen, especially as I am frequently in situations where it is much more convenient to rely on my watch than to get my phone out

 My watch came with the Alpine Loop in Starlight, Size M and for the first couple of hours I was sure I was going to return the watch. I really dislike the band - the weight of the watch is such that the band has to be quite tight on me, or the watch moves around too much for my comfort - but the material of the band, especially at the edges, just feels rough and scratchy and I found it much too irritating to my skin to wear the watch securely. I also don’t know how the Alpine Loop could ever be kept clean - the material doesn’t wipe easily and retains water. I want a comfortable band that can get wet and dry easily and that I can clean off with a wipe

Not too big…with the right band

 The Ultra FEELS much heavier on my wrist than the stainless steel (smaller) AWs. And it sits noticeably higher. It would be a problem to wear the Ultra with normal long sleeved shirt cuffs buttoned. Functionally the Ultra is arguably improved for some edge use cases -- satellite SOS, auto crashes, ocean treasure diving, a pocket siren (!) etc

Meh. A stainless steel AW8 is probably a better choice for most folks.

 Strap color (orange) is ridiculous and just pops. The screen is simply stunning. I love looking at it. Clarity + brightness

 I went hiking alone, the siren gave a bit of comfort. It seems durable. Not sure if I want a screen protector. Recommended

 Given all of that research from late last fall I mentioned -- I felt the TicWatch E3 and its higher-end cousin, the TicWatch Pro 3 models were some of the best values for Wear OS watches at the time. I still believe that, and my experience over the past five months has borne that out.

I used to have a Fossil Gent watch. Very happy about the watch, though the charging rings where terrible, loosing by some regular wearing if the watch. After a few repairs, they now decided to pay me back. So I'm searching for a new one.

I've read that WearOS 3 is around the corner, already landed on Samsung's with a custom UI. As I prefer stock android, this doesn't look that interesting to me. Looking online, there ain't much watches expecting the upgrade (see https://www.androidauthority.com/wear-os-3-watches-2736393/), though Fossil gen6 seems to get it. Unfortunately, this comes with charging rings which I rather not have. The system of Moto 360 with a dock on which you put the watch was much more reliable.

This leads me to wonder:
 - what are the differences between Samsung's device and stock android?
 - are the charging rings really improved as claimed?
 - does it make sense of going for a WearOS 2 which can be upgraded to WearOS 3 or is it better to wait on watches that launch with WearOS 3 out of the box?
 - do we actually expect differences with these WearOS 3 devices, given the limited set of processors used for WearOS devices?

Feel free to provide your sources so I can read up on it in order to make up my mind.

WearOS 3? Buy now and upgrade or wait on new models?

It features WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and the usual motion/health sensors and I used all of it's features. NFC with Google Pay worked as it should and the GPS positioning was precise with Google Maps. It monitored my heart rate and daily steps and workouts accurately

A great smart watch to own!

3 inches. The number of workouts you can track is not exactly extensive with 13 presets, including swimming, yoga, cycling and running, among a few others. Although not necessarily the most in-depth tracking options, the TicHealth suite of apps is a nice complement to the admittedly basic Google Fit Suite and helps expand your workout tracking options. I'm still not convinced though by that tick here and there, but overall it's a nice selection of monitoring applications for you to choose from

 Stick and rubber do dominate that silver and black casing, which is pretty simple for the most part. This is going to be great for long term durability, and it reminds me very much of the numerous toy dumb or digital watches that you can pick up. I have to say, though, this is a really thick watch, 12.6 millimetres, to be precise

 So it's a particular interest to Wear OS fans. So with that in mind, don't come in with expectations that the TicWatch E3 will be in any way remotely premium by that chipset, as this is Mobvoi's cheaper Wear OS smartwatch running the latest chip for mid to late 2021. Stick and rubber do dominate that silver and black casing, which is pretty simple for the most part. This is going to be great for long term durability, and it reminds me very much of the numerous toy dumb or digital watches that you can pick up

TicWatch E3 review!

 It'S still better than a lot of the competition, so overall the tick watch e3 impressed me more than i expected. Although it's a simple and plain design, it really delivered a lot of function. This is really geared towards anybody on a budget. Looking for a lot of value and a lot of function over fashion, because it really does a lot, it has a great water resistance rating

 Google pay. If we press and hold it, it opens up kind of a nice little quick settings where you can turn off the watch. You can drain the speaker in case you take it under water because, as another note, you actually can take this underwater. This is rated for ip68 water resistance and again that's another item - that's usually among the first to go when people are making more budget-friendly devices so ip68, a great water resistance - and i was very happy to see that on the back of this device, you'll see, we Have four little diodes for the heart rate sensor and we'll talk about the sensors more in a second, but overall, the physical design is pretty simple, like i said, a minimal aesthetic, but it definitely gets the job done and you're, probably gon na notice that, as a Common theme throughout this video that this watch is really geared towards the performance or the function over fashion, and so it doesn't really look especially flashy or exciting on the outside

 Is the battery life? I was expecting to get maybe three or four days with this chip on here, but realistically it was just shy of two days, which is still better than a lot of watches. Out there, especially any snapdragon, 3100 watch, but you know maybe they use less efficient sensors on here, maybe whatever it might be. Maybe the battery's a little bit smaller. It doesn't quite last as long as i was hoping it to, but again at this price

 Usually those are the first thing to go when people are saving money on watches. So i was very happy to see that on here. That means we can answer phone calls. We can actually field the phone calls on here and talk to people and we can use it as a voice assistant, we'll talk about that in the interface tour, but the buttons on here uh, neither one rotates

NEW TicWatch E3 (An Affordable Smartwatch better than Flagships)
