Battery Life

One tiny hiccup, but all is well now.

The battery life is awesome. I can sit and edit for hours without being interrupted to charge it. I actually don’t think it’s ever told me to charge it, I just do after I am done with it. The touch screen is very responsive as well

Amazing for offline maps

If you treat this like a tablet (WiFi, Bluetooth, web browsing, etc.) then expect to get typical tablet battery times—perhaps a day or so. But if you turn all that off and just use this for viewing maps and reading, then expect to get weeks. You can even take a screenshot of your map area of interest and set it as your shutdown image

Weight

Bad screen, heavy, cumbersome, bad keyboard, etc.

This 12.9 iPad is huge and heavy, making it inconvenient to use, which is exactly what the iPad was designed NOT to be. The screen is "ghosting," meaning if you're using at night on a black background, white letters or images have a halo effect. Not good for night time use

Seriously?new Boox 10.3 NoteX 418g?

The RM2 is 404g and no one really complains about it. Weight is probably a much bigger issue in the 13 inch size class though. Because these devices are so large, there's a considerable amount of lever arm/torque when you hold them in portrait mode in one hand while trying to highlight on the other. I think the 368g Quaderno Gen 2 A4 vs the 570g Boox Max Lumi 2 makes a usability difference in that class of device
