 To know how much charge you have left, check the LED lights on the side. As the charger runs out of power, the lights turn off. This one directly put my safety at risk, thanks to this Anker super dude, we had smoke all over the charging spot and incredibly dangerous fire hazard, and at some point I would never have imagined what to do if I hadn't had it cut off from the plug

 Typically if I use mine once, I charge it at first chance. Nothing worse than having a battery but not having it have enough to power you again while you're out. It's a good habit to get into for these smaller batteries.

Solid little charger backed by real service if you ever need it.

 The PowerCore 5000 has a 5000 mAh battery, is a little taller and is a cylinder shape. The Flip 20 has a 5200 mAh battery, is shorter and rectangular in shape. Over all this is a great charger and look forward to using it all the time especially on weekend trips. I like the 2A max output over the 1A on the astro mini

 And with all of that said, let's get into the review. So to just quickly go over what comes in the box, you get some paperwork it's just instructions, warranty, service card. there is a Usbc to Usb, a cable with a fancy little Nitecore Velcro strap, and then you of course get the battery bank itself. Pretty simple

 However, if you are a backpacker, I think that 60 bucks is worth it for a solid power bank and the ability to drop a couple of ounces from your pack weight.
