 I refused to overclock because that comes with a likelihood that the card will fry. At a certain point I got a notification that the settings had been reverted to default due to an unexpected power failure. My guess is because of this, and the fact that I didn't go back, and change the settings, the GPU fried itself on default settings, while playing a game that shouldn't have been putting that much of a load on the card itself.  TL;DR I'm disappointed that this product (in my case) lasted less than a year, and am skeptical to buy another

 I tried turning the computer on but the leds on my cooling fans would flash then turn off. The actual computer would not. I took it in for a diagnostic and the GPU had shorted, and as a failsafe the computer wouldn't turn on to prevent further damage.  I had tinkered with the Watt Management settings to run the fans faster at lower temps than the default settings because I explicitly did not want the card to fry

 In terms of the actual performance I don't have any complaints. The card handled my games, and VR programs very well, and I never had many issues with it. However based on some of the reviews I've seen of people having problems right off the bat I'm not so sure this product is the best of choices out there. Price was rather good for what its capable of but you have to be very cautious about overheating it

 Assassins Creed Origins gets at most 45 FPS and at worst 15. When overclocking it though, the games run okay, but damn it gets hot enough to use as a space heater. All in all, if you get it for less than 200 bucks, it's worth it for games like Rainbow Six, Counterstrike, Total War games, and Bugthesda games

 While it has 8 Gigs of DDR5, it seems to only ever want to use, at most, 4. It also runs quite hot when playing certain games that ran fine with my old busted card. I just tried playing MW: Warzone and the card couldn't handle that game at low settings, with constant stuttering and screen tearing. Anno 1800 runs okay at best, and terrible at worst

, As this is another esports title. I was not surprised to see another very high average of 207 FPS at 1080p and medium settings.. The framerate was also smooth with bottom 1 % at 134 FPS

 Here. The RX 580 reached an average of 46 FPS with bottom 1 % at 17 FPS.. So it is definitely capable here as well, even though one might consider lowering the settings to stabilize the bottom 1 % even further

 At the time of making. This video, the price of an RX 580, starts at around $ 600, which is pretty crazy., And because of that, I can't recommend buying it in 2021, unless the price will fall in the future.

 The framerate was good with 58 FPS on average and bottom 1 % at 25 FPS delivering a very playable and enjoyable gaming experience. The game looks sharp and i didn't feel any stuttering or framerate drops at all. In Read Dead Redemption. I tested 1080p and medium settings

The guideline for the build was: budget **£400,** best bang for the buck, cut corners where possible. 

This one was firmly in "splurge" territory, but the kid *was chuffed* with the crazy lighting patterns and the (way too) clicky blue (probably knock-off - but still) switches.   

So far, of all Xbox Game Pass games we tried, the only one that gets choppy is MS Flight Simulator.

I'm leaning towards the GTX 970 as it is cheapest and my dad (was self employed in the pc industry with both software and hardware for 15 years) says it's still a very good card. Obviously cards like the RTX 3090 are out of the question but I'm looking for something at most under £200.

, I achieved the same display capability but less control than I'd had with my low-budget graphics card.] When I then tried letting AMD's website auto-detect and install the graphics software, AMD's website chose their "Minimal setup" download but told me I already had the minimal capability. Bottom line: I could not control this graphics card's high power using Windows 8.1

Thinking "backwards compatibility" I downloaded and ran the Windows 7 graphics software download for this card; that got me 1920x1080 resolution display but no (incompatible with Windows 8.1, minus one star) RadeonSupport.exe control software

 Bottom line: I could not control this graphics card's high power using Windows 8.1. And when I reinstalled my low-budget graphics card and its software, the old software completely darkened my display video, forcing a drive C: restore from an off-line system image.  I compliment Amazon on their return procedure

High value, but verify software availability before ordering

 I overclocked mine to 1435mhz core clock and 2250mhz memory clock for extra performance on MSI Afterburner and it is a really great choice for gaming and mostly anything else. I got an avg of 112 fps in the heaven benchmark and a 119 fps avg with the overclock. Its not a crazy overclock but its very stable and balances fps in-game enough to provide a solid experience. My temps are usually from 58C-67C, if you push the card though it willl reach around 73C max, at least from what I've seen

Great Card but Pretty Loud

 So regardless of which driver you use from Nvidia, I think there's at least three different variants, three or four, you should be looking at the same game compatibility, the same level of performance that is shown here in this video. But for accessing some of the GeForce type features, you can manually install the GeForce Experience, and that worked just fine with any of those drivers. So in summary, I didn't run into any driver compatibility issues with games. And that's about everything I have for you on the Nvidia RTX A4000, at least for now

 So again, Nvidia has dropped the Quadro branding, so not Quadro drivers, but I know what you guys mean. They do of course have a few different driver branches. I installed the production branch slash studio driver, and it worked just fine for all the games that we've tested in this video, and the performance went untouched. So that was good to see, and the same was also true with the new feature branch driver

 Packing 16 GB of ECC memory opposed to just 8 GB for the RTX 3070 Ti, and I suspect this is why many of you are so interested in the A4000. In theory, you should be able to overclock the A4000 to achieve RTX 3070-like performance, but that'll depend on how far you can push the cause and memory, and of course, this is something I'm going to explore. On that note, I should quickly mention that this content is focused exclusively on gaming performance. We don't really care about the benefits the A4000 might bring to video editing, 3D rendering or CAD work, again, at least for this content

 This might be something we explore in a separate content piece, but for this one, we have a heap of gaming data to go over, and of course, the entire point of buying the A4000 was to answer the question, is it worth purchasing over something like an RTX 3070 for gaming? Right out of the gate, the first red flag for the A4000 was the tiny single-slot cooler, and because this is a professional-grade product, Nvidia doesn't allow their partners to design their own custom PCBs and coolers. Anyway, for now it looks like you can only squeeze about 10% more out of the A4000. So to answer the question from our Q&A series, would you consider buying an RTX A4000 over an RTX 3070 for gaming, and if so, how much extra would you spend on the A4000? I'd certainly consider buying it, but I probably wouldn't do so at a premium, so for me the A4000 would really need to cost less than $2,000 Australian, probably somewhere between the 3060 Ti and 3070 Ti, and if I'm honest, probably closer to the 3060 Ti.  That's not bad given how much more efficient the A4000 is and the Radeon 6700XD's levels of performance are very good, but again it does come back to the price.  Not a huge difference, but there's another specification, that could have a more serious influence on performance, and that is the GDDR memory. The 3070T utilizes GDDR6X memory with a throughput of 19 Gbps, and when paired with a 256-bit wide memory bus provides a bandwidth of 608 Gbps. The A4000, on the other hand, uses more traditional GDDR6 memory, offering a throughput of 14 Gbps, and when using the same 256-bit wide memory bus that means memory bandwidth has been reduced by 26% to 448 Gbps. The RTX A4000 does have one advantage though, and that's memory capacity

 However, there are several key differences between how the A4000 and RTX 3070T are configured. First, the cores. Where the RTX 3070T cores operate at a base frequency of 1575 MHz, with a boost of 1770 MHz, the A4000 cores clock as low as 735 MHz, with a boost of just 1560 MHz. That means, under load the RTX 3070T should clock at least 13% higher than the A4000

 I'll test it for you. I'll be the guinea pig and see if it's worth it. I would hate for you to buy it, build a rig, and then everything starts just going out of control and then it overheats or whatever it does. I'm not really too sure on that

 So right off the bat, this thing is getting about 61 MHz, which we'll get into in a few minutes at 125 watts, plus or minus a couple watts. And the MHz moves a little bit. This is non-LHR. Essentially, from my understanding, this card is a non-LHR 3070

 But again, when you start getting this into a rig, when you get it with other ones, I could see that going up a lot and it could potentially be a big problem. I don't know if you could change the thermal pads, but if you can't, that could be an issue. So really think about that, 125 watts at 61.74 mega hash
