I'm mostly a portable operator and have settled on the Microsoft Surface Go 3. It's tablet sized but it's a Windows 11 machine. Way lighter than the 17" HP laptop I was using.

Battery Life

Lighter and more features than my old one!

It has lots of features for use as a tablet beyond just reading that allow it to compete with Samsung Tab and iPad. DOWNs: The battery does not seem to last as long in the new version. This may help make it lighter, but for moderate use, you will need to charge daily (before, my wife plugged in the old one every few days). Ad-supported price

Try before you buy. SERIOUSLY.....TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

The BATTERY (Supposedly 8 hours when fully charged. What does that really mean?) Mine never lasted more than 3. VIDEO is constantly either SKIPPING, FREEZING, or just CRASHING altogether
