Joining X12 Detachable owners club

I work as a SRE and got it as always-with-me device for oncall emergency purposes, coding in Go, Python, C++ and Typescript in WSL environment, drawing architectural diagrams, etc. I normally use X1C6 but don't do anything intense on it so I'm excited to make this my daily driver and shave off some grams off from my backpack load. I am former Surface Go 2 user and hoping this will be ultimate combo of Surface form factor and X1C power.

There’s the Jingpad. But otherwise not really. I’ve rolled my own with a Surface Go 2 and the experience isn’t bad, but the performance and polish can’t match my iPad. I’ve been waiting on the same though.

It is good for the price

It functions good enough for making notes for school. I wanted to like this tablet. Very disappointing. The build quality and display are fine. Setting fonts to be readable proved impossible. The menu bars in applications were in tiny fonts - hard to read and impossible to click accurately with the touch screen. I use Windows 10 on my PC and it’s great...

Don’t bring the computer.

Mobile, but bulky... can game, at 1080p and low settings... can be away from a power outlet, for 35 minutes... So I went out on a limb and bought a Microsoft Surface Go 2... 10" touch screen, power friendly, yet capable hardware, has a nice stylus, nice type cover, and looks clean and professional... I love traveling with it... Microsoft nailed the perfect balance of comfortable and capable... The last thing I regret not bringing on a trip was a compact towel...

Don’t bring the computer.

My Microsoft Surface makes no difference in how I pack, and has been absolutely essential many times. I can't imagine having to do any last minute, complicated flight/ferry/train planning on a phone.

Portability is good, but very middle of the pack

The portability is good. The battery is not as great as it is stating. I am giving 3 stars because it is very middle of the pack. There are definitely more price effective models out there.
