Edges are scratchy as others have noted. Deal breaker IMO

I like the size of it but it's nothing special and the price matches that. Cat hair gets stuck to it easily unfortunately but it's a great budget choice.

 Have you ever seen a really old mouse pad with the cloth separating from the pad? I can't imagine that ever happening to this mouse pad. I don't really feel the stitching when I lay my arm on the pad. I don't have it in front of me now, but I would guess that the stitched edge is about 2.5mm thick and the rest of the pad is about 2mm thick

 It has a mechanical look which jibes well with the work that I do.  Conclusion: ========= If you want reinforced stitching and an uber-slick surface for optimal wrist arousal, go with the Dechanic.
