AKLLA A4 Pro ITX Case ( Build & Quick Review )

 I don't think getting a top hat would've solved the AKLLA A4 Pro for me with how loud the GPU ended up being, I also think it was the main culprit in cooking the system in the air cooled config so maybe a different setup would work in this case.

AKLLA A4 Pro - Build

 -There seem to be some questions about why this is marked as an AKLLA A4 Pro yet it doesn't have a front USB-C port. I can confirm that this is indeed an A4 Pro (NOT an A4 v2), just with the front USBC port deleted.  This is a great looking, hight quality case, just go into it knowing that some assembly/tweaking will be required.

AKLLA A4 PRO BUILD 5 of 5 (Raw video)

 However, if you're using a thicker GPU such as the ASUS TUF 3080 with its almost 58mm width, then you have to switch over to the other frame configuration, which officially only supports up to 65mm CPU coolers. The L12S does not fit in this configuration. Your best bet would perhaps be the Alpenfen Black Ridge cooler, which comes in at a very low 47mm in height, or 62mm with an additional slim top fan, although you may have some difficulty with motherboard and RAM compatibility. Of course, that's for air coolers

 After my previous trilogy on the A4v2 ITX case, Akla offered to send me their latest one, the A4 Pro, to check out. So huge thanks to Akla for this opportunity. The A4 Pro follows the same concept. It is essentially a sat-can-liter sandwich-style ITX case with a configurable motherboard frame that allows for different sized GPUs and CPU coolers

 In the standard setup for both cases without a top cap, they're pretty much the same size. The A4 Pro comes in at 340mm long, 210mm wide, and 160mm tall. The A4 V2 is just 5mm shorter in width and height. The configurable zones for GPU and CPU cooler are only marginally different as well

 So let's talk about the case quality and perhaps the improvements to the build experience. I think the first thing most people would notice would be the color. The A4 Pro comes in two color options, an oxidized white or deep space gray. Initially, I had thought the oxidized word was referring to perhaps the method used to treat the bare metal and to give it its color, but putting the case side by side with the original A4 V2, I'm now pretty sure that the color of this case actually is oxidized white

 They also have the slightly larger Velcro 5, which can accommodate graphics cards up to 297 millimetres. So even full length cards like a two slot RTX 2080 Ti will be no problem there. Review on the Velcro 5 will follow in about a week, so do stay tuned for that. So let's start off with a size comparison against some other cases under the 10 litre threshold

 That panel is brushed. And actually, the Velcro 3 and 5 share very similar design language and aesthetic to the Skyridge 4 Mini, so if you're a fan of that minimal, unbranded aluminium exterior like myself, you'll definitely like this case as well. Build quality is also very solid, despite the Velcro 3 being light as a feather. One small gripe I have for the exterior is the approach to screws for the side panels

 Oddly enough though, even when removing the cables away from the power supply fan, it still gets pretty loud. So that's definitely a problem and I think the only solution here would be to swap that fan to a lower noise option from Noctua. The power supply itself didn't seem to be getting that hot at all either, so I think a simple fan swap would work quite well here and it wouldn't be too hard to do. If you need something quieter, I'd definitely go for the Skyreach 4 Mini

 The flex ATX unit uses a 40 mil fan to provide airflow to the circuitry and despite being well under the output limit, this thing gets unbearably loud when it's under a gaming load. I initially thought this was due to my cable management, seeing as to hide the majority of the cables from sight, you guys saw that I bunched most of them up in front of the power supply and that kind of blocks the fan. Oddly enough though, even when removing the cables away from the power supply fan, it still gets pretty loud. So that's definitely a problem and I think the only solution here would be to swap that fan to a lower noise option from Noctua

Velka 3 - World's Smallest RTX 2070 Build!

This case is really unique due to its size, but I think the quality control needs some work. Mine came with a very low quality loose screwdriver at the top of the box which has the possibility to mar the finish on the case. I would have preferred to not get a screwdriver at all. A couple panels had some scratches and areas where the finish had been taken off, but these areas are covered by packaging so I don't understand how they have these marks at all, unless it came from the factory this way

 Also, the packaging for the sides of the case is not sufficient, as the box is incredibly thin and there is only a plastic wrap covering the sides.  My case isn't so bad that I would return it since it will be put into a backpack where I'm sure it will be scuffed anyway, but I might be disappointed if I were intending to leave this on my desk all the time.

That would possibly better, as it's more sturdy (and the S4 Mini is the sturdiest and have the most ideal form as well). 6L or below is the way to go, otherwise you'll loathe the ordeal to carry your computer around and with the mini version of the 3060's within the horizon, you will be able to actually make competent builds in the smallest cases. But seriously, anything above 7L (or more like 6) is a pain to carry around with all your other stuff

So I've been a gaming laptop user for more than a decade now but I'm going to build my first SFF PC (I'm tired of crazy high thermals and no upgradability). The thing is, I need a case that is practical to carry around, since I will take it to my gf's house every weekend. Planned build will have:

Ryzen 5600X
RTX 3070 (or 3060ti)
1TB m.2 NVMe SSD
500GB m.2 NVMe SSD

I've been researching cases for more than a week. (it's hard to find boutique cases in my country so forget Ncase M1, Louqe Ghost, Velka etc.). After seeing the options here in Brazil I'm torn between a few options:

Cooler Master NR200: seems the best overall but might be impractical to carry around or put in a bag.
Cougar QBX: cheap alternative to the NR200, but about the same size
Lian Li TU150: bigger on this list, but has a handle! Is it really practical to carry it? Seems too big
Silverstone Raven RVZ03: is it too long to fit in a backpack or bag?
Fractal Design Node 202: a bit smaller alternative to RVZ03

I've seen a lot of reviews of these cases, but rarely someone talks about weight, ease of transportation etc. Does someone have experience carrying any of these around? I would love to hear some of your opinions and suggestions.

Need help choosing a portable SFF case

For portability, I would recommend to go for a strictly air cooled build that's small and light with performance prioritized AFTER these aspects. Small should be the case and the components too. Best would be a Velka 3 (or Densium 4) with an ITX gpu or In Win Chopin APU build (or a 202mm EVGA 3060 Ti XC within a Densium 4+).

This is my first SFF PC.  It came about as the bastard child of my laptop not running current games anymore (hurts when I travel for work), and the need to RMA the motherboard out of my main workstation (I wanted a mini-ITX build so when I got my temporary replacement for my work tower I got this board until the main one came back) I really want to try to cram it all in a RAW S1, but this will do for my budget right now.

Specs:

Ryzen 7 5800x (PPT 95, TDC 60A, EDC 90A)  
id Cooling IS60 with both fans replaced with noctuas  
32GB Corsair Vengance LPX 3600  
ROG STRIX x570-i  
2x Samsung 970 NVME PCI 3 1TB SSDs  
2x random SSDs from old builds  
MSI Ventus 3x OC nVidia 3070Ti  
Lian Li SFX 750 PSU  
LINKUP PCIe 4 5CM lefthand riser cable.  
id Cooling 120x15mm ARGB fans in all 3 slots on the case  
All crammed in a RVZ03-ARGB  
With my custom designed and printed 15mm feet for laying it horizontal.    
and 1 custom ZipTie GPU retention system.  


Not going to lie I took this build apart and re-ran cables and fought fan rattles 3 at least 3 times.   The Ventus 3x is way to big for this case, especially in it's overall thickness.  The stock GPU retention bracket does not fit, insert ZipTies... which I gather from browsing this sub is the most approved method of managing tight spaces here.    
I did have to get an ATX to SFX PSU bracket as neither the Lian Li nor the case came with one.  and the 5" SATA cables were a life saver as well.    
All in all the case works as advertised.  I didn't even mess with the PCIe 3 riser that came with the case and ordered the PCIe 4 riser straight away.  
It's already survived one flight as a carry on.  While I'm sure a milled aluminum case will hold up better over the long run.   This is going to last me a good while like this, and the RGB on the front.  Thermals are pretty good from what I can gather.  I haven't done Air cooling in a long while, but SFF forced me to go back to it.    
Honestly to the human eye, it performs almost as well as my 5900x/3070Ti work station that I use for everyday stuff at home.  


Bonus last picture, my the MiniITX board in my ultra tower chassis, please ignore the crap cable management, I was ripping stuff apart troubleshooting.  I promise when I put it back together after I got my RMA back I dressed the cables nicely again.  Seeing a mini-ITX board in an E-ATX tower just made me chuckle.

 - The orange handle makes this build a great portable rig. - Small and compact. - I’m glad it came with riser cable(pcie x16, 3.0)
