 Plus, being round and being on a spindle means I don't get leg fatigue. Not only that, but there's no tailbone pressure, and it definitely works as advertised.

The cushion on the Ahead Spinal G is some kind of firm and very premium memory foam cushion that I can practice on all day without any discomfort and I sit perfectly ***on top*** (no sinking in whatsoever). That means I have no movement restriction whatsoever. Plus, being round and being on a spindle means I don't get leg fatigue. I use a garbage circular stood, no groove to hug your nuts, no back, nothing. I need to upgrade. I kinda feel like I want a back to it or maybe some nut grooves but I don’t know cause I’ve used nothing but this pos my whole life. Any suggestionsor experiences?

What do you use as your throne?

If your budget allows you to go up to that $250 (w/tax) range and you want the Spinal G, do not get the 4 leg version. I've used a few 4 leg drum thrones and hated every second I've spent on them. They're awkward to place, take up too much floor space, and they don't offer any benefit that I've found.

I have had the same Roc-N-Soc nitro for over 15 years. Its comfy and always reliable. only thing have ever replaced was a rubber foot.

 When you're young you can sit on a cement bench for hours. I absolutely have to give my butt a break after about an hour with this throne. I think a tractor seat type definitely helps. The easy height adjustment is a plus and it's plenty sturdy

Decent Throne

Comfortable and stable, this throne has been awesome to play on. My old throne was about half the size and I felt like I was holding myself up and balancing as much as playing double bass. My one complaint would be that at 6'2", this throne is barely tall enough to keep my hips above my knees and any compression in the piston over time might be an issue. Otherwise, I love it and wish I bought one years ago
