3F UL Gear Lanshan 2 vs Durston X-mid

Scaling down the weight of my solo backpacking kit, so picked this up, as I'm not willing to pay the high price of the cutting-edge Dyneema versions of similar single-wall trekking pole tents. After using for a couple of nights, my first impression is that it sets up fairly easily, but only under ideal conditions where you can get in the 8 necessary stakes. Pro's- *Very lightweight for the amount of space. *2 doors and vestibules

I love the weight of this tent. I could carry it for weeks I'm sure. However, I cannot, with my old joints, deal with the very tight mitten clips and other connections. It took some practice to set up but went quickly once I got the hang of it

Lots of upgrades from the original Lanshan 2: better cordage, better hardware, zipper pulls, reinforcements, and of course sizing is great for tall adults. Ventilation is good, no issues with condensation dripping into the tent.

So first of all, this tent is made out of very high quality materials. It's made out of still polyester, which means it's less saggy when it gets wet....
