 the cost is a very expensive 10, especially like for me who's never used it Dyneema temp before jumping into something like this is kind of nerve-wracking and the fact that it's expensive and it doesn't come with stakes is also another con. I Think it should at least come with eight stakes. You know stakes aren't too expensive, but paying this kind of money for a ten stick should come with it. One other con which: I don't know if it's a con yet, but since the tent is stretched out onto the horizontal bars of the each tent poles, there's a lot of tension

 For the price, I'm OK with the weight. Everything is a compromise. It's waterproofed ripstop nylon. Same stuff they always use to make inexpesive backpack tents

I ended up really liking this tent, but only after making my own modifications to it.

 Zip Accent Addressed this issue by hard sewing a webbing connector on each corner, directly linking without an elastic but a hard connection between the floor and the fly, so basically pinning it down in the corners so that will basically stop any water being added getting into the bathtub floor from outside. So well done. Who is this tent for this attempt is for people who pitched on hard ground, hard rocky ground, or sandy ground anywhere that it's really hard for stager to take a hole. This tent is also I Think for people who don't walk with trekking poles who are super ultra light that don't use trekking pole life Jupiter hikes

 The interior of the tent also has quite a bit of head room so you can hang stuff in the gear loft without slamming your head on it in when you wake up and sit up. The included guy lines and stakes seem sturdy and well made. I was thinking I might have to replace them with higher quality versions considering the price point, but they're more than solid enough for me to trust them.  The only downside to this tent is that it is rather heavy for a 1 person tent, even once you remove the extra stuff sacks that the stakes and poles come in and just role those up in the tent itself you're left with a rather hefty package

For the price point you're getting a really good tent for the money, but I can't help but think it could be at least a little lighter. And if you add the recommended footprint that ALPS offers it gets even heavier as a whole package

An Awesome First Tent

 You want to have these horizontal this way and to to get started you're just going to go ahead and put this down in the the bottom little. This looks kind of like a little grommet. This is your little grommet here and it's going to go ahead and be put right on there like that and that's the way it is across all of the the grommets for this tent. So then you'll go ahead and do the same here on the two the two bottom pieces there so that's the top end and then this is going to the grab here and you're going to go up to the top

 I'm going to go ahead and stake that in. Of course it doesn't have to be tight because you've got the line lock here to tension that down and pull out your the sides here. get them where you want them to be and then you can go ahead and snug that down and that will give the pull this away from the inside of the tent. Once you get that real snug and that will help that shed that rain or any moisture away from the inside of the tent so you can do this on the top and the bottom

 Just give yourself a little bit there. I don't. I don't necessarily want the floor to be pulled really side to side tight. I want to leave myself a little bit of room because obviously moving around inside the tent, you don't want to rip the floor accidentally

Then go ahead and clip in here again and then your doors are ready to go so you can give that a little bit of attention

This tent seems solid, and I've used it a few times. Easy to set up and pretty tough.  I stayed inside a thunderstorm with 60 mph straight line winds, and although the tent did bend it did not break. The pointed rain fly allows a storage area for your gear to keep dry

Great tent for the money - easy to set up and light-weight (sure there are lighter weight options, but I digress). I'm 6'2" , 225 lbs and felt like I had plenty of room - the higher profile was great for having *some* room to move around. As far as 1P tents go, this one works really well and is super simple to set up and take down. If you are a car-camper or aren't super competitive with minimizing pack weight this tent is a great option
