Zebco Dock Demon

* Should be easy to carry (camping, backpacking). * Something that can be kept in the car all the time. * Same setup for my daughter and me if possible, so that we can switch gears easily. I first started looking at toy Amazon combos but soon realized that Zebco Dock Demon is much cheaper than those stupid combos :) I'm pretty sure my daughter will get bored in like 5 minutes, and I'll end up doing it on my own... Any advice is appreciated!.

I got him a Zebco Dock Demon from Walmart for $15. Great buy because it came with a spinning reel or a spin cast reel, and I wanted him to use a spinning reel. Plus, it's short and strong.

First off, if you want to get her a kid's rod, I say the Zebco Dock Demon is the way to go. I got my nephew one when he turned 4, and it survived him owning it. Now his other uncle uses it as a pack rod when he goes camping. As far as what to use wherever you fish, I would tell you to go to the local mom & pop bait shop (Not a Dicks!)

Zebco Dock Demon Deluxe, replaced the reel with a light fluger open face and hit the extra spool with braided. Fits in my back seat, has landed tons of fish. Just run with a small beetle spin box and your capable of hook in water everywhere, anytime.

But also... and I found this out since I bought em for my son, check out a Zebco Dock Demon. Its a little 2 foot rod that DOES WORK! Legitimately, a tiny little push button rod that 100% reels in anything you can find in a lil stream, pond or small lake. I use it as a one handed trolling rod when I'm in a john boat or kayak too.
