 3-steps to get started: 1. Install two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Match the plus (+) and minus (-) signs as diagrammed in the compartment. 2. Insert finger into the finger chamber. 3. Press the power button. Stay still and your SpO2 and Pulse Rate readings will be displayed in about 5 seconds. Tips to get accurate and reliable readings: 1. Make sure that finger nail is kept short and free of nail polish. Finger should be inserted into the finger chamber completely to ensure proper placement. 2. Make sure that the finger chamber is clean before use. To clean, gently wipe with slightly dampened soft cloth. 3. When taking readings, keep finger as well as body as still as possible. Any movement will affect the accuracy of the readings as the device will reset with each detected movement. 4. Excessive ambient infrared light, for example in an overly bright lit room, can interfere with the device sensor. Make sure that you are in a moderately lit room when taking readings. 5. Poor blood circulation can affect oximeter readings. If your hands are cold, warm your hands and fingers before taking readings. 6. As the pulse oximeter is measuring SpO2 and Pulse Rate based on blood flow, it is not suitable for use by people with certain medical conditions, such as anemia, hypotension and hypothermia. Please consult with your healthcare provider before use.

Since it's designed for kid fingers, the Zacurate is quite small, and we often struggled to get it to register our adult hands, even using our pinkies.  This is Zacharet Z-a-c-u-r-a-t-e I got it online. This is the fingertip pulse oximeter and you can see here. designed especially for children two years and above and you can see this is a little polar bear design. I've seen different designs but it's nice for the kids because it makes them not scared

Okay so let me go ahead and show you this is nice to use to like if my kids are sleeping and they had a cold or something. Um, it's nice to kind of just put it on their finger when they're sleeping. I bought this because it said to buy this one specifically for children. I was told by my pediatrician to get one for my 18 month old at the time. This said it was specifically for little fingers but it’s really hard to get it to read my baby. It will read me and other adults as well as an older child very quickly but it takes a lot of tries and distractions to get my little one to sit still long enough and to get her finger in just the right place to read her

 I was able to compare it to the one used at MedExpress and this was actually more accurate. I’ve had this for probably over a year now and it has held up just fine, even takes abuse from younger kiddos when they play. However if you have cold fingers this will not read right (neither will any pulse ox no matter the quality). If you have a very small child or a spastic CP child this probably isn’t for you but I recommend having them just in case

  I like the cute design and the helpfulness of the waveform to see the variations on the pulse. I'm seen a couple of reviews faulting the Acc U Rate for not working for adults, but it's not designed for that! Better to buy one designed for adults.
