It’s entirely too difficult to do without hurting your hand, especially if you need to do it quickly because you got caught out of position. For RTS games/mobas/RPGS, I would look into rebinding right-click to move to another button with the Gameball. The button is too hard to click rapidly like that. You don’t need to do this with the Huge or L-Trac in my opinion.

While this device does feel very sturdy and has an extremely smooth and accurate trackball, the aesthetic of the device goes far beyond the “minimal” and “plain” appearance of the product photos and well into “lazy and careless” territory in person. I tried the L-Trac and was not a fan. The scroll wheel was way too annoying.

I've been a trackball fan for probably 20 years, now. This is a decent one, and the construction is great quality. But, it really feels like it was made upside down: To use the middle button or spin the wheel, I have to reach over the entire device. That means, rather than just a flick of my fingers...

CST with big hands

I can easily reach all of the buttons in a neutral position, the ball moves effortlessly with both thumb and finger control, and I honestly don't feel any need to add switches to aid clicking - my thumb rests toward the bottom of left click, and my ring finger rests at the very top of right click, when completely neutrally positioned. It's very, very comfortable in comparison to claw gripping a mouse. If there is one thing I might do in the future, it's print a wedge to tilt at 20-30 degrees - I exclusively use this right handed, and I could see that being useful. Another user on here asked about the cherry mx switch mounts for an L-Trac.

Quality vs price? thumb down...

I did try several trackball before, this one seemed promising in the reviews. but when i got it, i did't enjoy it at all! ball have to many friction with bearing inside, this let you feel sometimes as scrubbing plastic. left button had a different sound and feel that right one! for 140 USD? its not ...

The X-Keys L-Track (AKA CST) doesn’t have a rubberized finish, and it’s one of the best. Kensington has some more affordable options.
