 The button is incredibly stiff. I often give up trying to press it with one hand, and use my other hand to press it because my thumb isn't strong enough. I can not continue to spend money on clippers

 But in comparison, we decided to try the Neabot P1 Pro which is part clipper and part vacuum (think Flowbee for pets), and this performed MUCH better trimming down our pup while also sucking up all the hair into the dedicated vacuum. It does cost 2-3x more but it was worth it for us.  So all in all I would not recommend getting this kit from Wahl based on my experience.

We have a Bernedoodle and decided to try grooming him at home to save some money. Our standard "human" clippers actually have the same sizes as the provided guards in this kit, but figured getting a dedicated "pet" clipper would be best. However after fully charging and following the instructions, my experience is that these clippers are no better than the no-name cordless clippers we purchased on Amazon.  During our first couple of uses, the clippers became warm to hot and the clippers snagged quite frequently (keep in mind our pup has curlier hair)

I purchased this product base on it advertises for small and big dogs. I had to return it because the clipper is quite large for my dogs and the noise level is loud enough to scare them. I believe this product would work well for medium and large dogs. Will try something else that will fit my need

 A month after getting shaved his fur was already three inches long and he was overheating in the summer heat! I finally decided to try my own hand at grooming him. These clippers made it pretty idiot proof which I appreciated exponentially! You can see from the pictures they did awesome on my little guy.  Pros: They worked very well and its basically impossible to nick your dog while the guard is on, even if you accidentally press it into loose skin. Before using it on him I tried it every which way on my arm to see if it'd cut me and it wouldn't

 And I will need to even the cat out (my fault not the trimmers) but where I was able to, everything is very even and smooth and looks nice. So she has no razor burn and it never caught in her fur or pulled anything or hurt her. For those of you NEW to buying trimmers/clippers and haven't been around grooming before, the clippers ARE fairly quiet. I've been around MUCH louder in professional settings for 2-3 years

I'm kind of disappointed that the clippers themselves were damaged and maybe used? There was something in the blades that I cleaned out -could somehow be dust, and then the silvery part that makes up the main body was kind of dented and scratched. I figured since the casing was sealed and everything else was in plastic and the scissors unused, maybe the scissors scratched the unit in shipping. I got these to shave a very thick haired cat and a wiry terrier mix. The cat doesn't like being brushed and sometimes gets a little bit of matting

I've read a lot of negative reviews and I'm wondering if those folks might have unrealistic expectations.  The coat needs to be clean and brushed if you can. A filthy coat will clog fine debris between the blades, making them ineffective. It can be hard to see, as well
