 Underwater Audio's customer service did graciously offer me a 25% coupon, but at the retail price of $40 a pop, I really am debating if I want to spend another $30 just for a set of waterproof earbuds. Seems a bit off that you can buy the bundle for $60 but the earbuds cost $40. Too bad there doesn't seem to be any other good options for laps/flip-turns.

 I REALLY hope the 3rd time's a charm - I LOVE the unit when it's working, I just hope that I can get one that lasts! I don't know if it matters but the unit I purchased seems to be the previous version - it doesn't look like the one shown in the product images right now.  TAKE THREE (April 2017): I have to give it to Underwater Audio, they really do care about their customers. Within a few days of my email, they sent me another replacement, and this time it seems to be the updated version (as shown in the current photos).  This however is half the price, at $60 and truly is a one of a kind sure not to miss product. It is built to withstand up to 3 meters/ 10 feet of submeresion and sounds truly amazing under water. It's lightweight, comes with actually pretty good goggles, and can hold 8GB of songs. In case your not familiar with how many songs that is, that would be 2,000 songs plus seven hours of play time

 Sound quality is actually pretty good surprisingly and also has volume and shuffle control.  My shuffle still works, so at all opportunities I still use it. But when I use the Syryn I am always disappointed. I guess I could go back and figure a way to increase the "loudness" of each song, but this is a pain and it would only be for this player as all other music players play the songs that I have ripped or purchased at adequate volume levels. I am 54 and I don't blasts songs, but I do want to hear them over the water and I literally have to focus on listening as even at the highest volume levels I find this very, very inadequate

 Tuck the wires under your goggle straps. Make sure the unit itself is strapped to the back of your goggles with the wires pointing down. Try different size ear buds (it comes with multiple sizes) to see what seals to your ears the best. I think it's worth the money because it's not very expensive, but for ease of use I would maybe try a more expensive one that's less finicky

 when covid came, the player didn’t come out of my swim bag! so i started swimming again this year, and after a month, i started noticing static noises in the sound, and/or the sound would come on and off. i had tried wiggling the cord, sometimes successfully getting the good sound and other times, not; but i think this is the end of it. i called customer service and found out the wires alone are $40! anyways, i wish the cord would have lasted longer!

 My iPod would last me 10 two hour long workouts before I had to recharge it and this only lasts MAYBE 3. It also only wants you that the battery is low 45 seconds before it completely dies. What is the point?! The iPod would warn me about an hour before it died so I had time to actually do something about it. I guess it’s better than nothing

 Very time consuming and cumbersome. The sound quality is good, but one of the headphone pieces cut out after only one use. After one use, our PC wouldn't recognize the device. We had to switch to a Mac computer in order to download more songs
