Our one major grip with the Tundras Hot Hand warmer is that they're disposable, instead of rechargeable or reusable. Once the initial heat reaction wears off, this single use-product goes into the trash. The Trundras warmer is so toasty that it is hard not to want to use it on every cold occasion, but opening a new pack so often isn't sustainable.

 You need to use multiple packs if staying outside for a time period longer than 40 minutes back to back. Directions say if they start losing heat, shake them. Did that multiple times. If you do not plan on being outdoors long, this is for you

 Keep in mind I was holding them the entire time. After a max of 30 mins, I expected it to be warm, and they did, however, not much. I've used the other brand and that was way warmer, borderline hot! But if you use them outdoors, as it was meant to be used, that makes a big difference. I was planning to use these inside my motorcycle gloves to add warmth to my winter riding gloves as I no longer have heated grips but I'm not sure they'll work effectively

I read a similar review by others but wanted to check it for myself. I specifically ordered it for the unexpected cold winter blast forecasted here in northern VA (since the last 2 yrs) and was really hoping it would work as the other more well known brand but I was thoroughly disappointed 😞. I opened 2 packs at different times to test for consistency, shook both for at least 30 secs and timed them to see how long it'll take to heat up and how much heat it generated. The package says 15-30 mins and exposed to air

They don't do a good job. We tried to used them in Iceland and they were barely warmer than my hands. I thought the first packet I opened was bad and opened another but that was just the same. I put two between my hands but my hands were freezing cold
