I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

I started riding about 3 months ago and I’ve been using a XC helmet ( it gives little protection) with goggles, I started jumping and doing harder enduro trails with some DH parts. I haven’t had any hard crashes but I think its time to get a better helmet.
I’m afraid of loosing mobility and vision if I get a full face. For that reason I was considering getting an open face that gives more protection than mine like the POC open face, however I want a second opinion on this. What do you recommend?

Should I get a full face or open face helmet?

My son has this helmet and it's great, so I decided to get one. It should come with 2 extra sets of pads that are different thicknesses so you can dial the fit in. Mine showed up without the pads (or storage bag). If you buy yours online, check the box when it arrives, because they could easily fall out on the vendor's end

I have recently purchased a second hand 2017 Specialized Stumpjumper:

And was looking to get a helmet to go biking on trails with my buddy.  

I was looking at the [MET parachute](https://www.met-helmets.com/en/shop/mtb-helmets/enduro-helmets/parachute-mcr-mips/) which has the magnetic detachable chinbar, and was pretty convinced with the idea, having basically two helmets in one. Another friend of mine though insists that they're absolutely unsafe because the chinbar won't resist strong impacts and also claims some people they know got "seriously injured" because of that system not withstanding the impact during a fall.  

Considering I won't be doing hardcore downhill anytime soon (I even doubt my bike is suitable for that), is anyone able to comment on those helmets? I really like the looks of the Parachute and liked the idea, but I also want to be safe.

<p>EDIT: the helmet is currently on sale for €220 (after discounts) at my local shop (RRP €330) so it sounds kind of a bargain too.</p>

Hey all, I am looking for a full face helmet that I can use riding my electric mountain board offroad. yes I know that this is in a biking subreddit but the people in the eboard sub tend to recommend 2 helmets that aren't really good and look really bad. I am looking for just a normal helmet (kind of moto style with the visor) that will 100% protect my chin/jaw in the case of a crash. I don't want to break my jaw because 6 months of a stitched together jaw and eating out of a straw plus physical therapy would cost wayyyyy more than a good helmet now. I was thinking of getting the giro switchblade.

(price doesnt matter)

Full Face Helmet Recommendation (price doesn't matter)

Sweet lightweight helmet

 Good rear coverage and really nice pads. Venting is better than a lot of helmets I've had.

I've been looking for a helmet for a little while now (for about $150).  But the choice is overwhelming. I know MIPS is great and the rest is kinda down to comfort. 

I've got a Scott XC style helmet now and it does nothing to keep sweat out of my eyes. 

I'd really like a trail oriented helmet with a bit more protection to the back of the head. 

Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm in NZ, so going and trying some on is not an option... we're locked down right now.

I’ve been looking into getting a Full Face for a while now, and have been interested in the convertible helmets. I understand that I should get whatever fits best, but just wondering what peoples experience is with these types of helmets. 

Most of my riding is done after work, usually 1-2 hour rides. Good amount of uphill for some sweet steep and chunky downhill.
