Opinion on helmets?

  A cyclist pounding through the slush in a full-face helmet, goggles, balaclava, surplus Level IV ECWCS, tactical gloves and a Maxpedition Mongo slung across his back set a certain tone in traffic when it's less than ten degrees outside. In other words: if people see me, they give me plenty of room. However, it would be nice to have more than my bright blood type and "do not remove in case of accident" stickers affixed to the white shell to say "hey dude, I'm riding here."  Especially to buses

 Seriously... why do bus drivers suck so much?  The helmet is very breathable (and easy to make not breathable with duct tape when it gets chilly), comfortable (once you get used to the heat of it), easy to clean and keep clean, and offers a good amount of protection should I go down at the speeds I travel

  If you care about ingesting solid food after the inevitable, wear this helmet. You'll get plenty of looks, but the same thing happens when half of your face is caved in from meeting a curb at 40mph.  Demon: just make one that is high visibility in a way that looks as cool as your new graphics, PLEASE! And send it to me. For free

<p>Ok so after diving deeper into company structures, it seems that all these helmets are indeed probably dropshipped. This opinion is based on the routes of 661 which droppships most part of their goods and rebrand Comax, which is cheap protective gear company based in Taiwan. The manufacturing part hell knows where is. Anyway, Comax is like the basic no-name stuff you get in Walmart. Is it bad? I have no idea. Same as I have no idea how bad is basic no-name stuff in Walmart. It seems like all these helmets have the same dropship origin. If it&#39;s based on some other genuine helmet like Bell Servo and fake the certificates, no-one really knows. The decision is up to you, whether this is something you want to put your head into.</p>

<p>EDIT2: Bell doesn&#39;t have any information about what these helmets are and asked me to bring it to the Bell reseller for inspection or return. That doesn&#39;t help much because they can be either copy or Bell just could have outsourced this product (which would be weird) and the support obviously cannot know this.</p>

<p><strong>My final tip: I would buy a different helmet. If you really have to buy any of these, get DEMON PODIUM. This helmet is on market since 2012/2013. It is a copy of Bell Servo which cost 50 bucks in Walmart.</strong> The Demon Podium seems legit and should be enough for general use with e-skate outside the road. If you plan to ride on the road with traffic around you, I would definitely consider better protection. </p>

There is something shady going on around these helmets

 I have always been between round oval and intermediate oval shape when it came to motorcycle helmets and have always fit well in both. Still the xlarge while a little looser than I would wear if I was riding a motorcycle still passed my test and works for mountain biking. Essentially I always put my helmets on then strap in, first I will test to see if the helmet rotates on my head, then I try lifting the helmet off from the back, and then lifting the helmet off from the front while strapped in, if it seems to stay in place then it will likely stay on my head when I crash. To test snugness I will lift up from the sides and see if my skin on my forehead moves with the helmet, if it slides too easily and doesn't move it's not snug enough

 When you put the liner back in you have to fit the liner between the eps and the shell. Motorcycle helmet have done this for years and are much easier to work with than this helmet but you can clean it. I got the white so I don't attract the sun any more than I needed and it looks good.

I am new to mountain biking but I ride motorcycles and appreciate the importance of a full face helmet when riding, even a mountain bike fall can deliver some pretty serious head injuries. That said when trying on helmets at my local bike shop the usual half helmet seemed loose even when adjusting it to a proper fit I felt like the helmet could easy twist off. The full face helmets they had, inspired confidence and fit snug enough but we're way over my budget. I found this helmet on Amazon and I'm glad I gave it a chance

Currently a Demon Podium/Bell Servo. Solid helmet, comfortable, cool in the summer, and warm in the winter (with a balaclava). 

Personally I'm big on safety and always run a decent helmet when out and about, so I was wondering what everyone else runs

What helmet type do you run ?

 His helmet was too big for me???? Same model, same size, different color (his is solid black). Not sure if his is an older model that he just purchased as well on Amazon???? All in all, for $80 you can't beat it. If you want true ventilation, spend $250 and you get an even lighter helmet with more vents, but for me this works just fine.

But I have never ridden a skateboard before, and I can't buy it right now coz I'm getting an electric board.

So will I be able to comfortably ride and learn to ride the electric board without any experience? If not is there anything I can do before getting one?

Advice for a beginner

 I followed the size chart and got the XL size. I was right in the middle for the listed dimensions and it fits perfectly.
