TOPS Knives El Chete Heavy Duty Chopper Overview

I like Tops quite a bit for fixed blades. They have some ugly “gas station” junk designs, but their more run-of-the-mill designs are really nice. I’ve never had an issue with quality control, but their sheaths are almost exclusively right handed which is frustrating as a lefty. Still worth a look IMO though

I rarely buy more than one knife of a single brand. I normally go through and pick out the one I'm interested in and while I love all my knives, theres certain brands I wont try again with and ones I'll buy again without a second thought. Buck and Boker currently are the ones that have my seal of quality. I own both a Buck 119 and Buck 55 and both are just miles ahead of any competition in the price range. And both razor sharp out of the box. My Boker traditionals lockback is the only German Boker I own because of the prices on them but it's just so solid I'd never hesitate if I saw a different model on sale. Not a single imperfection in that knife. But I've been screwed over by Bear and Son, Case, and every cheap OTF company I've ordered from as far as quality goes. Which brands do you feel like you buy from the most often with the most consistently satisfying results?

Edit: I do NOT consider blades licensed by a company but made by someone else when deciding this. I know Buck and Boker both have some cheap Chinese crap in their catalogue. But I know better than to mess with those in the first place. The only Chinese knives I'll buy are the brands that make their blades mostly in China in the first place
