Vehicle is a 2017 Honda CRV EX-L w/ Thinkware U1000 hardwired. So currently, I drive to and from work doing 4/10s a week (typical one-way w/ picking up carpool buddy is 35 minutes), and with other errands throughout the week, I've not had to worry much about my dash cam draining the battery of my car, with only one instance where the cam didn't cut off when it should have.

Thinkware u1000 dual. Thinkware has the best parking monitoring esp for non collision events. You should have a dashcam anyway. Must be hardwired for parking monitoring.

I recently installed the thinkware u1000 in my tacoma, but the rear camera has fallen off for the third time in a week. The adhesive tape just wont stand up to the colorado sun and 95* temps. The black interior doesn't help, and parking in the shade is not always an option. I tried some 3m extreme from Ace Hardware with the same results, adhesive separates from the camera base.

I've just read this from reviews... "The other issue we had with the Thinkware U1000 design is compression of the video files. The files are massive in 4K, chewing up a 32 gb card in less than an hour. That doesn’t provide very much assurance when you need to pull a video from the other day. Thinkware Q800 PRO 2CH, or Thinkware U1000 2CH - Could possibly do what you want, but Thinkware has made habit of doing stability firmware updates only. Customer complaint firmware updates are generally never done. - Thinkware Cloud feature = Clunky/buggy, and Thinkware WiFi/Cellphone app = Clunky/Buggy. Thinkware dash cams can be annoying, but functional.
