Thinkpad x1 Tablet gen 3

I just received my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 3 and I wanted to share my excitement with this community. Although I have it for less than a day, I am "extremely" impressed with this machine.

The X1 Tablet gen 3 brought in the same ultrabook class processors as well as introduced a hinge that angles away form the middle, like the surface, compared to the Gen 1 and Gen 2 machines flipping out from the lower edge. Battery life is about the same on both of my devices, however with the added productivity module I can add an extra 5 hours of battery life as well as some more ports while still allowing the keyboard to be attached and used the same way.

This is a worthy competitor of Surface Pro 6, even SP 7. The keyboard of my first ThinkPad, the R60, was probably the best one I have used in terms of typing feel.

Former X31 owner, then X220. I just got myself a Thinkpad Tablet X1 3 days ago and I'm loving the 3:2 screen ratio. More than all others I've had (4:3, 16:10, 16:9). This ratio is becoming more and more available and it's glorious in my opinion, for work there is a lot of vertical space and ability to have 2 windows side-by side.

I have the x1 tablet Gen 3. My only problem with it is the official case. The hinge is metal on a plastic base, and it gave out after 3 months of use.

Still love it when making discharge papers on the go.

If you’re not doing heavy stuff I think this group will recommend you a Thinkpad X1 or something from the T series. Either way you should be more than fine. Good luck.
