 That's when it's time to put it in the washer, or take some very gentle bleach to the area and follow up with water. No matter how "gentle" said bleach is, you still don't want any on your skin or clothes. This is a good waterproof pad. I poured water directly on it & let set and it did not seep through. It is not a noisy pad. It will work for deep pocket mattresses, but also is a great fit for a thin one

 My dog was on steroids and had an accident one night and it went through the pad. Granted it wasn't as bad as if it was just on a sheet, but this did not stop the moisture from penetrating. Also it did not hold up well to multiple washes (about 4) the bed skirt elastic separated from the rest of the bed skirt. It is supposed to have a 1 year warranty but I can't find any contact information for the company on the packaging or after an internet search

Not waterproof

 The mattress protector was able to stay on the mattress without coming up on the edges...you know what I mean

We needed a backup mattress protector for when we need to clean our main one. We put these on our mattress last night and I was not disappointed. The mattress protector was able to stay on the mattress without coming up on the edges.

 Its really important that you measure your mattress thickness before you order covers and sheets for it. The last mattress cover I had for it did not fit and tore badly because I did not make sure it was the right size for the thickness. This one fits great and is better made.

We washed these before putting them on the beds and they came out of the dryer very nice.
