They're the best washing machine and dryer I have owned and I know at least two decades.

Speed Queen. They are US-built and use the same guts as commercial machines that run constantly. Hardware is stainless steel rather than nylon or fiber reinforced plastic, and the top-end machines have a 7 year warranty. Our Maytag washer died late last year and I did a ton of research before spending the money for the Speed Queen TR7.
