\~2008 **Sony PS-LX300USB** or contemporary model bought from Best Buy in the late-aughts when it was the only turntable you'd ever find in a physical store to play some of my dad's old records. It sounded better than either of us expected and got me buying records. Back then I'd buy whole stacks of used records from PREX for $20 and the occasional new/fancy one for $10-20 and maybe a MoFi for $30 new.
