Master bedroom is L+R In-ceiling speakers powered by a Sonos Connect:Amp. Five more zones are L+R In-ceiling speakers pulled down and re-wired as a pair of Mono Low+High speakers, Left wire became Low, Right wire became High signal. These are all powered by the cuustom unit in the Imgur pictures. If I REALLY wanted stereo, I could have run new 4-conductor wires to each speaker and doubled the Symfonisk units, but for whole-house audio, mono is completely fine and in many cases preferable, so this conversion worked great!.

The Connect is an excellent combination of hardware and software that offers a plug-and-play solution for existing stereo systems. I'd only suggest this product if you already have an existing Sonos setup or are looking to get one.

My refurb was as good as new. You don't have to use the connect, but when you're already spending that much, I figured might as well. I'd rather have it and not need it than opt not to get it and regret that decision later.
