 And like the quality there's a 30 day returns period but no additional warranty unfortunately. In terms of using it around the home, well I have to say it's not my first choice for relaxing whilst reading or watching TV just because of the lack of softness in the cotton that they've used. And for sleep well it's not the most breathable that I've tried but neither is it the hottest either. There is quite a bit of fibre fill inside those pockets so some heat does build up but it could be worse

 Now this is one that I bought as an experiment to see what you could get if you tried to spend as little money as possible on a weighted blanket. And what I found you get is a weighted blanket that weighs what it's supposed to and does its job but doesn't look or feel particularly special. So let's take a closer look. First thing to note then is that the Y&M internal blanket which I have here isn't the smoothest of cottons that I've felt

 I had a look all the way around and didn't find any errors. The entire blanket can be machine washed cold and tumble dried low. I tested it a couple of times and it came out just as it went in. Well a little bit cleaner obviously

 And for sleep well it's not the most breathable that I've tried but neither is it the hottest either. There is quite a bit of fibre fill inside those pockets so some heat does build up but it could be worse. So for me it's somewhere in the middle in terms of breathability. So if you're just looking for a basic weighted blanket and you're on a budget this is a good choice

I know there are many other weighted blankets that I didn't discuss in this video. It's not that there aren’t other great options out there (there definitely are), but because I wanted to keep this list to a reasonable length, and so I had to be picky.
I tried to choose a selection of different styles to show you what’s available. I also decided to focus on the weighted blankets that appealed to me personally, knowing that I would have them in my home for months on end while I gave them a good test.

 Now, they've connected to show that certain people who use it can sleep better. They showed that people who use a weighted blanket, actually, they slept more deeply, woke up feeling more rested. In addition, they've connected to such conditions as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism, showing how it can help with those conditions as well, specifically for anxiety. People who would use it during one study, they woke up the next day feeling more rested

Weighted blankets are similar to comforters in that they have an outer shell and some sort of fill. However, unlike a down comforter or down alternative comforter, weighted blankets are filled with glass beads or poly pellets. This is what gives them their extra weight. 

But how do these heavy blankets work? With their added weight, they apply Deep Touch Pressure to your body while you sleep. Deep Touch Pressure is what you might feel during a deep tissue massage. This pressure has been shown to increase serotonin levels and decrease cortisol levels in our bodies. 

Some studies have shown there are many #weightedblanket benefits. Studies have shown that weighted blankets have helped some people sleep more deeply and wake up feeling more refreshed. There are definitely weighted blankets for insomnia. 

Other studies have found that some people slept better and had fewer issues regarding their specific conditions. Whether you need a weighted blanket for anxiety or a weighted blanket for autism, there are many options out there. 

So, if you think a weighted blanket could help you sleep, how do you find the right one? First, you need to consider your body weight. A weighted blanket should be about 10 percent of your body weight plus a few pounds. 

At the same time, you don’t want your weighted blanket to be too big for your bed. You don’t want any real overhang because the blanket might be pulled off the bed by its own weight. Your weighted blanket should fit you, not your bed. 

Also, do you need a weighted blanket for hot sleepers? You definitely want to think about what material used in the shell. Will your blanket breathe or will it trap heat and make you feel stuffy? If you want to sleep cool, consider a weighted blanket with a cotton shell.
