The Solatec LED represents the best of modern outdoor design and construction. A tasteful Edison bulb encases a double filament 2W LED. The LED is a brighter white than an incandescent bulb, but not the glaring white of early generation LEDs. The cable is durable and weather resistant and will perform well in difficult outdoor settings. Each bulb screws into a flexible rubber skirt that seals around the bulb, blocking out inclement weather. We liked the design of the hanging "T" junction for each bulb, as it made installation a breeze and allowed the main cable and each light to have a little visual separation.
Our only real criticism of the Solatec is that the commercial-grade construction may be overkill for some people's desired use. However, we appreciated this added durability and the fact that they could be set up once and never taken down. We also liked the weatherproof consideration given to the male and female plug ends. The female end featured a cover that could close off the socket from outside moisture. The male plug was designed to create a weatherproof seal when stringing multiple strands together. Our set only arrived with one spare bulb, but since the bulbs themselves are made of durable plastic, we expect the extra to sit on the shelf for a long time before being put to use.

Good set of outdoor lights for the money!

Excellent quality, but too bright and not orange enough light for my liking. 2W is a very bright bulb and it doesn’t say what color temperature they are which is super important to me. I believe they are 2700k or 3000k. If you want a nice warm orange you need 2200k

 I purchased replacement bulbs (($30))!!! that are 1W and 2200k and they are perfect! Nice warm orange look. I have since bought another string from a different company that come 1W and 2200k and added them to my string, perfect.

Too white and bright

I purchased three packs of these lights. One of them is different (hard plastic loop to hang the light vs softer rubber loop). Not a big deal but I found it worth mentioning.  They work well we take them up and down as needed due to neighborhood regulations so I can’t speak to their durability in the elements

 The light is good. More of a yellow glow than white, which is what we wanted. Shatterproof is a must!

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other

 Oh my they weren’t kidding when they said these are bright. I had to reduce the time they are on because they are so bright that they were lighting up the room. Over all they are very nice quality and long strings

Very bright

This is a gift for my daughter. The lights are smaller than expected but they are very bright and will work just fine for their intended use. I like the idea of shatterproof bulbs as they will be used on her patio.

Just purchased four sets of string LED lights and so far they have worked as intended for outdoor use.  Brightness level is good. Have not tried the strings under humid weather as yet.  Thanks!
