I'd go with Smartwool 250. 100% merino. Don't wash it too much, let it air dry and it'll retain its shape and last for a long time.

Ripped the tags off too soon. I'm 6'0, 180 lbs and the medium is quite loose in both torso and arms. Shoulder width, sleeve length and torso length is normal. Fortunately I know how to use a sewing machine, but this should be called regular fit, or better: sloppy American fit.

Base layer top is heavy, go with merino 250. Ditch the mug. Ditch the cork ball-everyone I know that brought one sent it home. Get a different bidet, backcountry bidet weighs like 1 oz.

I just got an REI crew neck mid weight base layer on Friday. It’s been great. Soft layer against my skin and not squeezing me. I did try on a Smartwool 250 at the store which was maybe even better, but not worth the extra $$$ for me.

Cerium would be a good add if you aren't worried about moisture. Smartwool 250 baselayers seem to be on sale right now, probably be a good add for you regardless.
