Just curious if anyone is aware of a “next gen” window shade… I’m familiar with Lutron as being the top of the line but I hate the fact that they are not rechargeable and insanely expensive.  I currently have automate shades (smart home by budget blinds) but they are very noisy and the battery isn’t great. Wondering if there is any new tech coming out.

Entry Level Solution With Missing Features

 We can easily open and close them especially if the sun is blinding us or it's getting late at night. We can do that. We've also used the automation where they automatically open in the morning and close at night. Putting them in the room has been nice as well with the gradual tilt so that in the morning when the sun comes up it doesn't blind you instantly when you open the blinds but they gradually help you wake up in the morning

 Here you do have the battery that will last for up to 6 months. Here you have the automation kit motor so this is what will allow your blind to actually tilt open and closed. It will remember how much to turn everything and this will also allow for the Bluetooth connection and it also has a light showing you that everything is working. And then here is your new pull tab so this will allow you to open and close the blind just by pulling on it by adding the existing pull tab that you have right to the automation kit

 Finally, and my biggest complaint —— sell the thing without the solar panel. My blinds are to a covered porch with absolutely no sunlight. Don’t make me waste of $60 to buy more. Bundle it with the USB charger instead

 It's best to always just keep all your parts kind of in one spot, so you don't lose anything. And you visually kind of see where everything needs to go once you're done. So let me get this one out. All right, now that I removed both of those, there's usually going to be some kind of rubber stoppers that kind of keep this rod from sliding too far one way or the other

 So it'll just close the blinds automatically. So there are temperature sensors in that kit as well. So things get a little too toasty in the room. It'll just automatically close the blinds as opposed to the schedule or in addition to the schedule

 And I never have to think about it again. So love my blinds. Love the way they just open in the morning, close at sunset. And again, I never think about it

 The firmware just finished updating, so we're good to go. We're going to go ahead and press Done. And now I have two of the four windows in this area connected with the My Smart Blind. So the right side bed is there
