Better than the Tamron 150-600
I purchased and returned two copies of the Tamron 150-600 because I was unable to obtain sharp handheld images on any consistent level, particularly above 500mm. I'm honestly not sure what the issue/s were, maybe the Vibration Compensation, maybe the AF, maybe the glass, maybe a combination of issue...

With the Nikon D3200 and Sigma 150-600mm, I often used the 600mm end. It's my personal sweet spot and I still have to sneak up on the birds. The problem with the 600mm end is with a maximum aperture of f/6.3, the autofocus system was not always reliable even with proper settings and back button focus. It would sometimes fail to acquire focus at all.

Thank You, Sigma
This is my first excursion into the world of long lenses, so I have nothing to compare it to. I bought it based on positive reviews and the fact that customization is possible with the optional docking system (which I also purchased). The limited bit of shooting I have done thus far has demonstrated...

EOS M50 Lenses
Of course, if your budget can accomodate, you can go for the mammoth (sizewize and pricewise) EF 100-400 II or the Sigma 150-600mm contemporary :). While the M50 is no slouch, for sports and lots of fast action, you may really want the M6 II. the AF on that is much much better.
This thing is a beast
All I can say is wow. This lens is awesome. Sharpness is incredible. See attached image. I'm sure compression from amazon will lose some quality. I've shot the moon, people, animals and each time the quality is great. Definitely glad I made this purchase. First shot of moon was one image on a tripod...
