The only product that seems to take things like that off is a Mr. Clean magic eraser. After rubbing the D4's body and the included ET-1 power head that they look nice and clean but sadly the nice high gloss on the plastic is no more. While that doesn't affect the function of the vacuum that it got me thinking "can I use a high speed polisher with plastic polish that I use to restore headlamps with to make my Sebo minty again?". My question has anyone gone this far to refurb their vacuum?

I did not find this to be an issue in the kitchen/living room areas either. I also took the nozzle directly on this rubber mat with holes meant to trap litter pellets, and the suction was so strong, it picked up everything with one sweep. I filled up a whole bag and then some at their house.
