I'm not particularly found of the upper end on these headphones for music but they've been great for gaming. I'm looking for something with a similar sound stage but more balanced and of course closed back. Currently re-visiting this album on my HD800sdr>rolled Valhalla 2/Modi 3>Macbook Pro>VLC player rig, and its like Jack and Meg are recording here in the room with me. The detail in instrument separation is amazing. The soundstage is a real room--its not 'huge' its exactly the size of the recording space. The little bits of amp feedback in Seven Nation Army is syrupy and rad.

My collection, from gaming headsets to the high(er) end - dunno what's next

Enough said, they sound quite different from my other top two headphones in my collection (the Elex and the Ananda). They're extremely comfortable, to the point of being too loose. I plug them into the RME ADI-2 directly, which has plenty of power, and sometimes I switch to the Valhalla 2, which really changes things. Love these, and whenever I go for long listening sessions (1h+), I go for them.
