I think Samsung knocked it out of the park with this one. I think it makes for a very competitive alternative to the ipad.

I currently have an iPad air 2 which has a 9.7 inch screen and it's long overdue for an upgrade. I'm going back and forth every minute between the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 plus. I mostly use my iPad lying in bed watching media, and don't really play games on it, and it rarely even leaves my bedroom. I would go with the S8 because of the size, but I DESPERATELY want that OLED screen on the S8+!

You can take care of most of your tasks with a tablet+keyboard combo. Either the iPad pro or Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 would do the job. Both are far more portable than most laptops. Both have app replacements for commonly used design apps on a laptop.

Honestly, for you use case, I'd say you should go with a the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. It's running Android OS (with some Samsung modifications) and can handle gaming pretty well. On top of that, Samsung's gonna be providing four years of Android updates to it.
