Samsung Duo Plus

I was trying out a new Instant Pot salmon recipe in my Duo Evo Plus that called for a 0 minute cook time and 10 minute natural release. In my older Instant Pot, I know it had 0 minutes as an option because I would use it to cook broccoli. This must be the first time I tried it in my Duo Evo Plus though because I didn't realize that when using the custom cook time, if I scroll past the 1 minute mark it doesn't go to 0 minutes, it goes to 8 hours! By the time I realized my mistake, the fish was way overcooked.

When your Duo Evo Plus' quick release switch is set to vent, then there's a little lever that tips the steam release valve. This causes the steam to escape since the plug is at an angle and no longer plugging the hole. I suspect there's a problem is somewhere in that area. Usually, it is some food residue or debris that is getting in the way either causing the float release valve to be tilted or sticking on the silicone plug inside the steam release valve preventing a good seal.

And the release switch looks a lot safer than the ones that require using a towel to release. This particular model can do so many other things, but I've really just used saute and pressure cook. And it does them very well. I've been very happy with my purchase.
