 I then connected the buds' charging case directly to a charging cable and it took about a half hour, maybe less, to get to 100%.  I've since tried again several times and sometimes it will charge them, sometimes it won't.  In summary, it's very inconsistent in how and when it decides to charge. It doesn't fast-charge unless the item is placed perfectly on it and sometimes it barely charges at all

I really wanted to like this charger and use it as my primary charging solution. However it felt short of the expectations.  Pros: - Works fine with the included charging brick and cable.  Cons: - Fan only runs under super fast charging (not normal charging) on my Galaxy S21 and doesn't turn on when I place my iPhone 12 on it

Charger arrived on time, but came with a Sony cable instead of an original fast charge Samsung cable. Wouldn't charge initially till I noticed the cable didn't match. Luckily I had an extra fast charge cable. Worked as advertised after that

 This makes it extremely difficult to try and use your phone for anything while it is on the pad. Pressing a key a bit too hard that is positioned on the right of the screen (ie "p" key on the keyboard) it will cause the phone to tilt up losing contact with the pad momentarily and halting charging not to mention it makes sending even the shortest of text messages a potentially annoying task while on the pad. I highlighted mostly bad things because I feel that's what differentiates one product from another but don't let the overall negative effect of that dissuade you. Its still a great charger, small and sleek, just with its flaws

 I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone so it's big but certainly but by comparison it's probably right in the middle of the pack size wise. Even with this size phone this charger can be a little tricky to center correctly if you are in a rush. Granted you can probably chalk that up to user error as much as anything else however I don't think a good product should ever make it so easy to make a mistake. When the phone is centered correctly and it begins fast charging the performance is excellent; charging from a dead battery to 100% only takes a small bit longer than plugging it into the wall charger

The supplied 3-ft Samsung cord is too long for my desk, but after trying three different shorter, good quality USB cords I have been unable to find one that works; longer cords also fail. I contacted Samsung, and was courteously told that the instructions say to use only the adapter and cord provided. They are perfectly correct, and in this case they seem to mean it 

 But any other adapter/cord combination is likely to fail, causing the charging pad LED to blink orange even before the phone is placed on the charger. My reliable Anker fast charge smart adapter will not power the charging pad using any cord, not even the Samsung cords. Samsung's wireless charging pad works well with my new Note 10+ phone. It charges the phone from 10% to fully charged in only 80 minutes, and the Note 10+ has big battery. The pad is stable, and the rubberized base and phone surfaces make sure neither the charger nor the phone slip around while in use.  However, the charger pad is VERY particular about how you plug it into the power source

 My guess is that QI charging compatibility is best with a Galaxy phone or watch device.  Correct phone placement may also be dependent on the phone case cover- and the user should verify the charger is working by looking at the smartphone charging indicator/screen or LED light (solid red when charging). However, the LED is hard to see when the phone is on the charger.  Overall a good QI certified device for those that want the additional benefit of a cooling fan and own Samsing Galaxy devices that support QI charging

The only way you know it is charging from the charger is a tiny light at one end of the charger that starts off as red. There is no on or off switch which isn't a deal breaker for me, but a longer light or a light ring on this model would have been nice
