I would definitely recommend the Samson Q2U. I currently own 25 of them they are the perfect beginners podcasting microphone. One of the biggest reasons I’d recommend the Samson over the blue is the Samson is a dynamic microphone versus the blue which is a condenser.

So far, I've been using a Samson Q2U over USB, and while I've been quite happy with it, this is free money, so why not treat myself to something better ;). For the audio interface, I decided to get the Focusrite Scarlett Solo. It seems like a nice balance between price and quality, and probably good enough for my purpose. Samson Q2U. You can get any other dynamic microphone that has both XLR and USB output. The reason I recommend a dynamic microphone over the other type (condenser microphones ) is that dynamic microphones have a lot better ambient noise rejection. This isn't always the case and some condenser microphones are quieter and better than their dynamic counterparts.
