Comparable boards, the K2 Cool Bean, the Westin Backwoods, the Telos Backslash. This has been my review of the Roswell Sushi.

This board does do pretty well on that, it does have quite a bit of camber underfoot, surprisingly.

This board absolutely rips any steep lines, especially hardpack or ice but also gives you insane float in the powder when you ride at speed (it doesn't take much to get going either). For a 163 board, it turns super quick even in the trees or moguls. It does get a little dicey when trees get tight because it's pretty long but in my experience, it seems to do pretty well in the nicely spaced tress around Mt hood.

I've been wanting a snow board with the v-tail for powder riding for some time. The price was good and I looked at a lot of reviews and decided on the Sushi. It was delayed in shipping and didn't come as fast as it should, not due to the sellers fault. It was packaged nice, still had the mfg wrapper...

I think it's a worthwhile investment if you're not completely comfortable with 1 footing. Or if you just like a little reassurance and confidence that your foot isn't going to slip. I find it especially helpful on my rossignol sushi.

So I got a new snowboard and bindings and tried them out this weekend, Rossignol XV and Burton Step Ons. It was cold and somewhat icy conditions this week in Eastern Washington, so I couldn't test the Burton Step Ons in powder, but I was super impressed none the less at their performance. I felt super locked in , and it was really easy to get in and out of them. The Rossignol XV was amazing, I got it in 168W because I wanted something that was fast and could hold an edge on ice, and boy does it!

Don't limit yourself to Burton - I've been riding the Rossignol XV for a few years and it's an awesome board. If you have the opportunity to demo a few boards, take it.

I have ridden this as well as the Rossignol Sushi. I am a surfer so these boards naturally appeal to me. Must ride for anyone wanting to surf snow, it’s like hitting the lip with each turn.
