Rossignol Black Ops Smasher 92 - 170: Easy to carve, fun to skid around. I didn't have to pay attention much while on this ski.

 As with a lot of skis on Ski Essentials, especially the more affordable skis, you can buy it as just ski and binding. Really, really good price. Maybe you already have boots, so that's not a concern whatsoever. You can also buy it with boots and poles

 The benefit in a ski like this is cap construction is exceptionally durable, so you're going to get less chips and kind of nicks to the top sheet than you would on a ski with a vertical sidewall, so pretty cool. Ninety underfoot, nice waist for a ski that's this affordable. I feel like you could go back just a few years and you don't see skis with this price tag on them around 90 underfoot. We also get this nice twin tip and dual rocker shape, so camber underfoot here and then rocker both in the tip and the tail of the ski

 Maybe you already have boots, so that's not a concern whatsoever. You can also buy it with boots and poles. And we really try hard to get the price of that package as low as possible. So if you're shopping and you need everything, you need skis, bindings, boots, and poles, go check out those packages because you're going to save a considerable amount of money when compared to buying all of those products individually

 But anyways, Rossignol does, like I said, a really good job of putting a lot of performance in this ski but keeping the price down impressively low. You also get this integrated Look Express 10 binding on here. Solid binding, again a lot of kind of borrowed or shared technology with much more expensive, super high-end bindings, and you get it in this affordable package.  Black Ops Smasher. This is a great ski. Rossignol did a really good job kind of taking

 inspiration and influence from the Black Ops 98 and putting it into this ski at an incredibly

 affordable price. There's also a ton of similarities between this ski and the Dynastar Menace 90,

 so if you're choosing between the two you can actually kind of focus on graphics, which is

 kind of nice and a rare situation to be in in the ski world. But anyways, Rossignol does, like I said,

 a really good job of putting a lot of performance in this ski but keeping the price down

 impressively low. You also get this integrated Look Express 10 binding on here. Solid binding,

 again a lot of kind of borrowed or shared technology with much more expensive, super

 high-end bindings, and you get it in this affordable package. Woodcore in this ski,

 pretty simple build here. Cap construction, although we do get kind of almost a little bit

 of vertical sidewall underfoot. It's mostly cap construction, however, so if you kind of compare

 it to skis like the Black Ops 98, that's where you'll see a big difference. The benefit in a ski

 the waist width, is it gives the ski quite a lot of versatility. So narrow enough that it's going

 to be quick edge-to-edge on groomers. If you're choosing this ski for a terrain park application,

 it's narrow enough as a terrain park ski. It actually works great for that application,

 but wide enough that you can take it off trail. Tip and tail rocker adds a little bit more float

 than you would get if it was just full camber and also a little bit of maneuverability and

 forgiveness. So really fun tree, or really fun ski, excuse me, to take into the trees.

 Also take into the moguls, into soft snow conditions, into like open bowls if you happen
