Now Roam described the Ravine as an all-mountain charger with a freestyle-friendly flex and I think that perfectly sums it up actually.

What a snowboard! The Ravine Select is the brand-new top-shelf freeride offering from Rome this season.

This has been my review of the Rome Ravine Select. Do you agree? Do you disagree?

Burton Flight attendant or hometown hero for slightly softer, Capita Mercury, Rome Ravine, Libtech BRD is what comes to my mind for a versatile floaty all-mtn, none too stiff

Off top of my head for normalish directional carver type boards: Burton Deep Thinker or Hometown Hero or Flight Attendant, Arbor Iguchi Pro or Annex or A-frame, Rome Ravine Pro, Capita BSOD or Kazu, K2 Passport, Jones Stratos, Lib Tech Dynamo or BRD, Gnu Banked Country. I wouldn't buy a Cafe Racer. At your size you probably want the 164, which has a 278 mm waist which is WIDE. Speaking from experience with a size 10 foot, the CR's doable but lot of board to move around.

If you want something slightly more aggressive, Rome Ravine. I say mountain twin. It will be good to do most everything. Once your skill improves, it becomes a high end freestyle, and you could add a more aggressive freeride/carving board to your quiver.

Building a quiver, keep your proto for no fresh days, but pull this board out for your trips out west. Rome Ravine or Ravine select 155, more setback directional for great float but these board still rip on groomers, ravine for a all mountain middle of the road flex, select if you want a bomber that will require more work at slower speeds. Endeavor archetype 154, powder swallowtail that holds an edge well, but is at its best on deep days.

For tree riding check out the Rome Ravine or Ravine select, It has softer torsional flex. I bought it for the same reasons as you and couldn’t be happier.
