In terms of getting that really comfortable and secure fit without ever feeling any pressure points these things are absolutely bang on.

Honestly, there are so many good bindings on the market period. Burton, Rome, Union/Capita, K2, Now, Arbor, Bent metal/lib, and many others all make some really solid hardwear. It's sorta hard to go wrong if they fit your boot and what stiffness you want. After handling both, I chose Rome Katana's over Cartels / Malavitas because of the adjustability making it more comfortable.

you can some times get them on a deal cause they are not the most popular binding brand and they work fantastic I used mine like 25 times last season and was blown away at the quality capability and comfort. as some others suggested the rome katana are gangster but a little pricey the vice is cheaper version of that. Im probably gonna rock these three binding potentiality for ever. Thats just me tho rome if ya need tons of customization also I will buy any well known good all around binding if on sale or used good conditions Ive had burton cartel they were great ive had some ride bindings they were good that was along time ago tho so i cant really remember think about if want canted or not.

I haven’t ridden a rome board in a minute but have continued to put Rome bindings on every board i ride. The katanas sound perfect for everything you’re describing. The asym baseplate is super fun. Skatey/surfy when you want it.
