Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island Review
I don’t know if Robinson Crusoe is as difficult as Ghost Stories, but losses definitely hit you harder since games are so much longer and you put so much effort into them. Final Thoughts. It might not be the best choice if you are new to cooperative board games, but Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island is a wildly entertaining game for those that give themselves some time to become familiar with it
Daily Discussion and Game Recommendations Thread (November 24, 2021)
So far I have looked at Legends of Andor, Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, and The Adventures of Robin Hood for example, but I'm not crazy about their reliance on scenario expansions although I could still be convinced. **Number of Players:** Most importantly should work well with 3 players. **Game Length:** 30-90 minutes. **Complexity of Game:** Around 2.0-3.0 but could be higher as long as the session length doesn't go up.
Incredibly Thematic, Heavy Euro/Amerithrash Hybrid! Beware: BRUTALLY HARD Game!
Brilliant, deep, insanely thematic, and TOTALLY BRUTAL game! Robinson Crusoe just might be one of the most thematic and immersive board game experiences you'll ever have! It's right up there with the greats of the genre (Twilight Imperium 3, Pandemic Legacy, Arkham Horror, etc.). But be warned: the ...

Really Difficult Game with AMAZING Theme and Mechanics
I'll keep this brief. The game is AMAZING. The theme is solid, believable, and deep. While it might seem complex at the get go (I'm a very inexperienced board gamer), it's actually fairly simple to play with each stage being clearly illustrated and indicated on the board and the cards. And you have ...
Great, cruel game
So, we've bought this game because we were looking a game for two people, which lasts for 1.5 hrs and more. This one exactly matches the requirements. The game is rather fun, by this time we won 3 scenarios out of 7 or so, and keeping replaying them to try different characters and different luck. Pr...
Good thematic coop game
Highly thematic coop game that accomplishes what it sets out to do. Great variety in the events that happen each game, and lots of cards that add tension, suspense, theme, and decisions that matter. Difficulty level is high, but not so high as to make it not fun. On the negative side, the game is hi...
Laughably hard, great as a solo game, great replay value
So far I've only played this as a solo game but I am a huge fan. I've run through a couple of the scenarios and have played as a few of the characters. What I've found is that the deep decks and random dice rolls make for a wildly different experience each time. I'm sure there are mechanical steps t...
robinson crusoe game
well, it's not hard to learn, but IT IS A BRUTAL GAME!!! most youtube reviews of people playing this have had to create house rule handicaps to even beat the game, we tried playing as the game suggested and we were killed on the first 3-4 rounds if not sooner.... in order to win this game you need t...
Great game, needs patience and dedication.
I bought this game because I heard it was challenging and I wanted to try it solo mode. I was unable to beat a few levels on solo, so I got two friends for a 3 player campaign. We all love this game! It's got a ton of rules and rules on rules, but it all makes sense once you get going. The senarios ...
