Ranked servers generally provide relatively clean racing. Also Richard Burns Rally doesn't cost any money and is certainly worth a try, looks a bit dated, but the physics and variety of content (rallysimfans.hu has a complete mod pack) make it a great sim. Edit: Licensed DTM content in Raceroom is great as well.

AC is good for drifting mods such as WDT (google it). As for rallying I’d recommend first Richard Burns Rally - there is a rally school that teaches you the way to drive a rally car. Btw it has the best physics model in rally sims. Then you can move to Dirt rally 2.0 and WRC9 - those would be easier for you after RBR but it’s a modern rally experience.

Get Richard Burns Rally Hungarian, if you want to spice up your rally game. Its free, got tons 300+ tracks and variations and has best rally physics and ffb to date. Graphics are dated.
