REI Co-op Sleeping Bag Storage Sack

Shaped like a long punching bag this sac is NOT a space saver by any means so I’m not sure what it’s purpose is. It’s long enough for 2 large sleeping bags. Not small and compact.

Sleeping bags should never be stored in their stuff sacks. This is a great alternative. Protects it without compressing the filling. My 20F bag fits with no problem.

Hint: throw the stuff sack in the storage sack too to save a lot of time looking for it.

This sack is very large, which is what I wanted, to store my very large puffy 4-season down bag. I wish there were a smaller version, because I also need to store my small 40-degree bag. I could fit two of it in this sack. The sack is very good quality, it should last many years and do its job well.

I finally broke down and bought a really expensive down sleeping bag. This storage sack should help my bag retain its loft for many years.

I'm no Yuppie, I work for a living. There's no excuse for not taking care of such an expensive piece of gear.

Based on picture I thought the bag was going to be smaller and have minimal mesh panelling. Glad reality was better than the picture; bag was much bigger than I thought, which gave my sleeping bag plenty of room to loft and most of the bag is large mesh so it vents really well.
