  He measured and cut, sanded, and then shellacked three lattice-type strips to closely match the window trim color. I used heavy duty 3M brand double stick tape between the shades’ paper and mounting strips (attaching the tape to the wood first), adhered the paper shade back into position, and my husband used his brad nail gun for added strength.  Nothing not to love about them for me, now. Still giving 4 stars

I love the look and I love the price. The “sheerness” — way they filter the light — is quite appealing. I installed them outside the window frames because I wanted to keep the pull-down blackout-shades — already installed — behind them.  On the second day after installation, one of the shade’s adhesive tape failed, and the paper detached from the plastic strip on top and slid down the cords, as seen in the photo

Ready Shade Easy Lift… shades are handsome, but may need some additional work to attach them well.

 It's easy to install and if you follow directions, it's a good product. We lightly sanded the varnished wood and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before installation. This should be part of the directions! Anytime you're using sticky stuff or command strips it's a must to wipe the surface with alcohol!

Easy to install, good value, but too bright for my needs

 My complaint is the measurements on top to guide cutting them to fit. My husband and I cut off one end and re-measured to be sure we were on track only to find that the 'inches' on the top are really half inches. I don't know who does quality control but that is a big issue. Fortunately, it was only a half inch difference between ends and we hope that it will work that way it's supposed to once installed since we had to cut a little more off the other end

 That being said, they are nice shades and serve the purpose. They go up and down with no problem and provide privacy where needed.

Don't trust the measurements on the blind for cutting

These are not the blinds for a million dollar mansion or maybe for a house with rambunctious children, but for a little old lady looking for an affordable and easy to install option, these are great.  I especially appreciated the easy measuring guide on the blind that required no calculations for clearances--if you have a 43" window, just cut on the 43" mark and the clearance was already accounted for. Cutting was a little tricky but not bad.  I only gave 4 stars because I don't know if they will hold up to daily use over time, but they are great, simple, fast and attractive way to cover windows
